  5. I work for a John deere dealership and I know for a fact that if a dealer tells you that it's covered under warrenty then it's thier problem. If they come after you for payment, get a lawyer. The dealer made the commitment to make the repairs under warrenty. It is between the dealer and yamaha.NOT YOUR PROBLEM.
  6. I picked up a used voyager kit for my RSV.Installed it myself. It's not that hard to do.Pretty basic stuff. The instruction arn't that go,but if you can turn a wrench you can figure it out.It does take some time to fine tune it.I'm still playing with tire pressure and shock pressure to get the wobbles out.If you've never ridin one before, the first time will be a shocker! You will experence front end shake at slow speed and on bumpy roads. if you have a lot of shake you may need to check you alianment.also try lowering the trike tire pressure a few lbs.I have found that it rides better when 2 up then when I'm by my self. One more thing,it will give you a great upper body work out.You have to muscle it through the turns and twisties.Good luck.
  7. Hope they had pork for lunch.:whistling:Go NAVY! GO SEALS:thumbsup:
  8. Beaufort is a great town,we had a good time there this past Feb.Make sure you check out Sarge,s BBQ.
  9. That was my next question. Is the fuel pump working? Try draining the carbs, then turn on the key to to check if the pump comes on.You may also have some crud in the carbs, this may help clean them out.
  10. OK,I'm not trying to be a smart a$$,but did you turn on the gas? I 've done this more then a few times.
  11. I had that same problem when I was riding my 08 kawasaki vulcan 900lt.It when away when I bought my 99RSV.:rotf:Nutten more comfy than a RSV.
  12. Yea,right after you said you hate snow!!! we think alike....oh,wait...we live in the same state. the state of misery.

  17. I have the venture kit on my "99"rsv.Everything I've read on these kit's says that some shake is normal, just slow down a little and it will go away.It is a good idea to tighten the steering neck.I'm told this will help. You might also try raising your tire pressure. Also increase your shock and fork pressure to max.You have to play with it till you get it where you like it.Or at less tolerable. Good luck.
  18. I did reply.the add is no longer there.
  19. there was no contact info, and the price was the standard $3600.00 that most scammers ask for.
  20. Just came across another craigs list scam.A nice 2001 cadillac seville sts for $3600.00.listed in Ithaca NY...just one problem, the pictures of the car were not taken in NY. Ithaca does not have palm trees! how stupid can they get? you would think they would have notice this little blunder.
  21. I checked on a new set last year,They are expensive!
  22. A 2009 with less then 1500 miles says one thing to me.This bike set around for a very long time with very old gas in the tank.these days gas is only good for about 60 days if that.I would bet your bike had the same tank of gas in it for months at a time or even longer. If you want to see what old gas will do just put a cup of gas in a jar and let it set in your garage for 6 months. It will look like varnish.Thats what was inside your carbs.Every part of your fuel system needs to be cleaned.
  23. first time out scared the heck out of me! Not what I was expecting.Took a few mile to figure out how to handle it.It is a handfull when I'm riding alone, but settles out real nice riding 2up.I think it still needs some fine tuning. The wife likes it and thats what counts.I think it will work out just fine for 2up riding and its easy to remove for two wheeling.
  24. Thank you all for your prayers and heart felt thoughts.I know my Mom took them with her to heaven where she is now back together with my Dad.
  25. Don't forget crash pads...........not that you will ever need them.
