  8. Robin and I are heading out Thursday, early morning. We are going to pickup the 86 in Corning NY and run that to the 90. Anyone going that way. The 86 is a heck of alot better road then the NY thruway. Last time we were on the thruway if was like riding on a wash board.

  10. I know the feeling. My oldest son wants to learn to ride. I told him to take the safty course. I guess I really don't have much to say about it, since he is 35 yrs old, married with 4 children. But he's still my kid. At least he wants a cruiser and not a death rocket.
  11. Removing the fairing is the hard part. If you are removing the forks yourself you might as well rebuild the forks. Its not that hard to do. I just did mine. I installed progressive springs while I was at it. Make sure you have an inpact wrench to remove the bolts in the bottom of the forks. Can't remember what they are call, some people call them the drain bolt. all the oil will drain out when you pull them. There is some write ups on the 1st gen that will help. Not much about the 2nd gen, but the basics are the same. Also found some info on youtube. pm me if you have any questions. I will tell you all the things I had to do twice... or even three times But hey,now I'm an expert.
  12. Some great roads around here.
