  2. Not what I wanted to wake up to. You know Robin and I are there for you. Give Vicky our love.
  3. this would be a cheap test. I know I have read posts by folks here that have bypast there fuel pump and rhode there bike for many miles with out a problem. May be worth trying.
  4. In my business we see people all day long who do not know what model mower or tractor they have. I'm not talking farmers, they know there equipment inside and out. I'm talking about your average home owner. They come in for parts for there lawn tractor and all they know is it is a brand x. No year and no model number, witch is right on the side of the hood. they think all brand x are the same. Brand name withheld to protect my
  5. I used 5th gear on the super slabs, almost never on state roads. Even when I was on two wheels I didn't use 5th very much.
  6. We almost never use 5th, what the heck would you do with 6 gears?
  7. Go back to your corner and play with your lazers and photon tarpedo's. And don't forget your Buck Rogers helmet. The only thing your bike don't have is warp drive.
  8. No fuses for the mic's. it's my understanding that mic mutes are a after market add on. I believe I read somewhere here that they work throught the transmit switch. Try keying the transmit botton and see if it works. Or maybe you allready did this:confused24:
  9. Pull the plugs at the helmet end, look inside the plug to see if one or more of those itty bitty pins are bent or missing. We had this problem with one of our mic's right after we got our first RSV. One of the pins were bent. This connection is the weakist point in this system.
  10. someone here made a set of foo bars out of 1" aluminum round stock. Cut the round stock into 1 1/2" lengths drill a hole through them. dill and tap the risers to except a 1/4-20 bolt, bolt the foo bar to the riser to take the place of the original bars. Iv'e seen picture here in VR. can't remember who or where. I did the same thing with off the shelf bushing, washers and 1/4-20 bolts from Lowes.
  11. check the passanger volume knob.
  12. bump
  13. If both driver and rider are on the large size, there isn't enough space between the two of you to fit a postage stamp. Not any space to install a drivers back rest. And Rockin Robin didn't much like playing the part. Much more room on the RSV.
  14. please pass the popcorn. oh, and another beer please. This is getting good.
  15. Good to see your back on two wheels.
  16. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Yamaha allready has the next full touring bagger. It is the stratoliner deluxe. all they have to do is add the trunk and some other goodies, like intercom, cb and gps. Maybe abs brakes, heated seats, and grips etc.etc. I hope I'm wrong and they do come out with a new RSV. But it won't happen in this economy.
  17. Its a.... dare I say it....SPYDER!
  18. Just posted additional info for this ride on the events calander. You will find the complete itinerary there. If your looking for a nice place to ride in august, come join us.
  19. It just don't make sense. Everytime Robin and I jump on the trike to make a quick run to the store, It always takes a tank of gas and a couple hours:think:....yet the store is only 12 miles from home:confused24:
  20. Lets just say, Don felt like a pretzel after 45 minutes driving that thing.
  21. Hannigan and tri-wing are the only trike convertions available for the venture. Unless you find a motortrike convertion allready done. the last year motortrike did the venture was in 2002.
  22. QUOTE=jvbailey3;703482]Thanks,:cool10: that seemed to get the problem resolved. Do you think I should give it a shot of SeaFoam next time I go to start it up? Joe How old is the gas in it now? IF its old, drain it, fill with fresh gas and a good dose of sea foam. see if you can find gas in your area with out ethenyol in it.
  23. Don't tell anyone, but the boss tested one at Pioneer during the rally. He seemed to like it. So did everyone else that test rode it.
