  1. Well Bobby, now that you brought it up. I was thinking how nice it would be if someone in TN,NC or SC Or somewhere down that way were to put together the next IR.
  2. Bigtom needs to know. RR and I are camping on site.

OK, so I guess by the fact that my post was deleted that we can't post possible good deals on bikes that some of our member might be interested in? Just wanted to give the gang a heads up on a low mileage bike. Sorry if I made booboo.
  4. I have the bagger shield. LOVE IT!
  5. Welcome aboard and don't mind the crazy one's. they're safe....as long as they take there med's.
  6. So that's where you are....You just stay put and you friends in the white coats will be there to take you away... HAAAAHAHA.
  7. It should not move. I think there is a pin that holes it in place. You can split it open and carefully pull it apart to look inside. I've had it apart a couple of times, no big deal. just take your time.
  8. Carbs can be found on EBAY, Pinwall cycle salvage has a lot of parts available. I would replace all the hoses, brake lines, clutch lines and flush the cooling system. You have a lot of work ahead of you. Don't hesitate to ask for help. Good luck.
  9. I will say this again as I have on other threads. Shift to reserve at least once a week so you don't get the surprise I got. I hadn't used my reserve since the previous season. On our way home from MD at Freebirds I ran the tank down till the low fuel light came on, so I shifted to reserve to find out to my surprise that the bottom of my tank was full of water. we were lucky there was a gas station just down the road. I now leave it in the reserve position all the time and fill up when I get to a 1/4 tank. just like I do with my truck and car. I mean isn't that why the put a fuel gage on the bike.
  10. I just stop and fill up when I get down to a 1/4 tank on the gage.
  11. Its only normal for HD's
  12. Some trike owners install a rear tire on the front of there trike and reverse the rotation. they say the tire will last a lot longer then the standard front tire. I run a standard front tire on my Motortrike with no problem, but I don't have a raked front end. I would say that with a raked front end it won't make much of a difference if you install a narrower tire. If it works, leave it alone.
  13. 20 mpg! that sucks. I got 30 pulling a trailer,2up. The Hannigan must be a bit heavier then the motortrike. or the gearing is lower. Heck I get 20 mpg with my Chevy 1/2 ton. just saying.
  14. Drop tire pressure to 22 psi. your runing way to much for a trike.
  15. Ride it like you stole it, because you did! Welcome aboard. Ride safe.
  16. Just got back from having a chili dog. So I guess we did our part.
  17. Seems like you just had one of these. They seem to show up faster and faster, don't they. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG GUY.
  18. No I didn't pull the petcock. Guess I should. I plan on draining the tank once a year from now on. I will check it next time. Thanks.
  19. Not true about the filament keeping water out of the system. I drained about a liter of water off the bottom of the tank through the reserve. Where did all that water come from you may ask? From not shifting to reserve every couple of tanks, even when you don't need to. This crap they call gas these days with the ethanol in it, brakes down over a short period of time. So if you don't use the reserve, the bottom of the tank will fill up with water and what ever other crap they put in gas these days. Not to mention the occasional bad gas station in ground tank. So don't find out the way I did. on the road and running low on gas, shifted to reserve and almost killed the engine. Good thing there was a gas station only a mile down the road.
  20. And thats why i run on reeserve all the time now.
  21. Heading out for a ride in that direction. maybe be there around 1pm or 2.
  22. THE HARDLYVENTURES.ORG....has a ring to it.... kinda brings a tear to my eye.
  23. OK, you can stay, but now you'll have to but a trailer.
  24. It has to have a trunk and bags. Anyone who's significant other rides with them knows that.
  25. Good god I hope its not a, Dare I say it? Kawasaski If it is I say we throw the bum out.
