Wife and I will be in Maggie Valley on the 16th thru the 19th. Hoping to ride the dragon and skyway on the 17th also.

Started packing the bike today for a departure Saturday morning. No way would we be able to do this with out the hitch rack I installed. Gives us a lot more space for Robin's stuff:whistling: Also mounted the Gopro camera on the mirror arm for a good forward view. Will send pic's and videos when I figure out how. Electronics and cruise control unit is located behind the lower fairings. Mount highway pegs to your front crash bars, that will get your legs out in the wind.

We will be in NC. next week. Leaving on Saturday, will be in Maggie Valley For 3 days. We are going to ride the BRP on the trip home. Maybe we will see some members while in the area.

The wifi allows you to control the camera functions remotely.

we just picked up the gopro3 silver at BJ's wholesale club. Paid $229.00 with a couple of mounts and the waterproof case. Took it out for a trial run, worked great, good pic's and video. Robin can control it with the wifi from the back seat on her phone. This way she gets the blame for any bad pic's and video.

Almost forgot, the battery lasted about 90 minutes. but it can be used while hooked up to external power source.

Can't wait to use it when we head to the BRP in 10 days.

07 had a recall for head bolt torque other then that I don't think the 08 has any special problems.

With 66000 miles, I'd change the clutch at the same time installing Skydoc's up grade kit. It's going to be opened up anyway. Do it all while your in there.

You say you owned the bike for only a year. I'm assuming you are a new rider? If so you really should take a motorcycle safety course. It is amazing what you will learn. well worth the money.

Credit card is a good idea incase of a break down that may lay up the bike for an extended period of time. this will allow you to rent a car, or god forbid, a truck to haul the bike back home.

We are heading down south next month. going to spend a few days in N.C. around Maggie Valley. We plan on taking the 15 south out of Painted Post to the 220 south out of Williamsport pa. through MD, WV to Roanoke VA. from there it is still up in the air as to which route we will take to Maggie Valley. But if your heading to Atlanta you might tray taking the Blue ridge parkway from Roanoke through VA. and NC. Then take State roads into Atlanta.
