  1. Go to the VR tech section and you can view the 2nd gen tech manual. there is an engine removal chapter that will take you through step by step.
  2. Try bypassing the pump first, see if it will runs. If it does then you know for sure it's the pump. The pump will not click if the carb bowls are full.
  3. Yet, it sounds just like a 1st gen.
  4. We just rode to NC. and back with the hitch rack mounted and it blocked the plate. Had no problems. Just figure if cars and trucks can get away with it, so can I.
  5. Where did you find the new engine?
  6. very cool, it is now in my favorites. thanks
  7. I did not know that cuss words are automatically bleeped here on VR:confused24: and anyway ***** is not a cuss word. Aren't we being just a little over the top with this. Just saying.
  8. Nope, "The ***** is back" Sir Elton John.
  9. Guess what song " Rockinrobin" likes?
  10. All of them
  11. Never mind! I figured it out.
  12. I have updated my states map in my profile, it shows the changes I made when I open my profile picture, but does not show the changes when I post in the forum. still shows the old map. what am I doing wrong?
  13. Back home, 2800 miles and eight days of fun. We're exhausted.... I think we need a vacation. The only real bad weather was the fist day heading out of NY and today leaving WV into PA. I guess we can check this one off the bucket list. Now we need to start planning for the next ride....I'm thinking the Bad Lands
  14. take your time and get better my friend. want to see you around for many years to come.
  15. I updated the map in my profile picture but when I post in the forum the changes don't show up.
  16. The first storm we waited out in a car wash stall. we were lucky to be riding into a small town just as it was about to hit. then a little later on, we were running north on the 81 with the radio on and they posted a storm warning for the 81 corridor north of the tn/va line so we pulled off at the next exit and got us a room for the night.
  17. And she promised me she wouldn't bug me to buy anything while visiting Angel.... You can see how that turned out.
  18. All the older Motortrikes came with it.
  19. So, Robin is checking Facebook this morning and says to me, Hey look at this nice bling Brown Angel sale's at the jewelry store he works at. I, like a dummy says didn't he and Lori settle here in NC. somewhere? So she looks up the address for the store he works at and would you believe it, they are right down the road in Waynesville, only ten minutes away. so we're thinking we should go there and surprise him with a visit. So we jump on the trike and head on over. He wasn't there right then, but would be back shortly. So we tht a little walking tour of the town. Very nice little town. One of those re-invented old towns that now cater to tourist. Lots of little shops and eatery's. Headed back to his store as he is walking in. SURPISE! We spend some time talking to Angel while Robin is drooling over the bling in the display case's. What was I thinking. Robin in a jewelry store:yikes:.... So let me tell you, bling is not just for the bike. After a very nice visit with angel and Lori. Robin walked out with some new shinny accessories, and I with a lighter wallet. But that's OK, she deserves it. It was really great to see Angel and Lori again. They are doing well and enjoying there new life her in NC. and wish everyone on VR there best and a big thank you for all your help. If ever in the Waynesville area or just riding by, you need to stop in and see them at John Laughter jewelers on main st.
  20. pulled into Deals Gap this morning and who do we find there? Yep, The Tooch an his group were there. I think we seen them again on the Cherohala skyway. He was going in the opposite direction. also seen two RSV's riding together on the skyway, only got a quick look as they went by. We also rode the Nantahala Gorge by mistake, made a wrong turn on the way back from the Dragon. The road here will wear you out, I don't think there is a straight road anywhere in the part of NC. need to figure out what we are doing tomorrow.
  21. "The Tooch" and his Canadian friend's showed up here in Wytheville about 6pm. Had a chance to talk a while. They will be heading to the Dragon from the west side on Tuesday, we are riding it from the east side. Hope to see them on the road.
  22. We are in Wytheville VA. for the night. Started out At 7am from Harrisonburg VA. Not Harrisburg as I said last night. Robin keeps reminding me I GOT IT WRONG! Rode to Waynesboro VA. picked up the BRP at the north end and rode it to Roanoke VA. We had great weather, the road was in pretty good shape for most of the ride, some ruff spots, but all in all a nice ride. With stops for sightseeing and lunch, it took us 5 hours to ride 115 miles. Let me tell you, you get one heck of a work out riding the twisty's on a trike. we decided to get off the BRP and take the 81 to Wytheville to see if we can hook up with The Tooch and friend's who is coming in from Canada to ride the Dragon this week. Tomorrow we head over to Maggie Valley where we have a room reserved for 3 days. We will ride the lower section of the BRP on the way back north. Oh, all most forgot, someone forgot to charge the battery for the camera and it wasn't me. Still got some video with the gopro.
  23. we've been on the 15 dozens of times over the years. Just looking for something new to look at.
