Backrest compatability
chollahan replied to chollahan's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
answered my own question. Got to looking at the yamaha website and saw where the aftermarket upright was listed to work on the royal star and the roadstar. -
Ok, So I have a venture that I bought sans trunk. My wife reslly needs som kind of back support so I bought an upright from a royal star and mounted it up. It fits like a champ of course, but now I need to know it the mounting pattern of the upright pad from a roadstar will fit the upright of a royal star. I am trying to find a deal on a pad now. I have seen a lot of roadstar upright pads and can get a good deal on those, so I want to use one of them for my upright. Anyone know if the bolt pattern on the back of the pad will allow to be mounted to my upright?

RSTD backrest/luggage rack on RSMV

I bought the side rails for a 96 royal star and they fit. I am now thinking that an upright and pad from a road star will fit, or find an upright from an original royal star and it will fit.- 12 replies

Venture radio problem

I had the same problem with freezing controls and the cb having a life of it's own. Dielectric grease has so far cured the problem.- 15 replies

I for one really like the Kawasaki. Looks like they did some resaerch into what their target market wanted and gave it to them. Like others, if they do not do the Venture right if/when they re-do it, I will be looking at the Kawasaki.

And if you can't or don't wanna spring for a mac........convert to Linux!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I hit 455 pretty regularly. One of the benefits to living north east of where I work, Frisco is if I have nothing to get to I shoot up preston and take 455 over to 121 on the way home.

Have been at my daughter's softball tourny in Denison this weekend up by Waterloo park. The whole time I'm there I keep hearing bikes everywhere. If I didn't know better I would think I was in Leaky or something. Is there a good ride road around the park? For those up around that way.

I might have missed it cause some of these explanations made my ears bleed, but do the v-max's have the same jetting?

Not that big of a chore. I didn't bleed mine and it worked fine, probably should have, but oh well. The hardest part was figuring out the best/easiest way to get the pistons pushed back in.

Finally running right

I am interested in the correct way to check the floats as well. And I also noticed that the ohms for the coils that are noted in the shop manual are wrong. -
I weas lucky and it had cleared up by the time I left. I did get dumped on over in Greenville on Saturday. As luck would have it, I caught EVERY red light on US 69 while it was REALLY pouring.

I got a "pistol pete" copy leather jacket from them for Christmas 2 years ago. It has been great. Super warm and still looks like a million bucks.

I like the "live long..." wave with the thumb tucked. Distinct and simple. I like the idea of a flag too. That would be good for parking lot checks!
