    I hope they will put a notice on the pump about the ethanol content. The only stations in California I've found with ethanol content are Shell stations. I stopped buying at Shell, than I found that all the gasoline sold in California contains 10% ethanol.

    I'm going in this coming Monday. I'm not happy about it at all. I'm told that I have to drink a gallon of something, then take something like X-lax to clean me out on Sunday. The wife is picking it up as I'm typing. I suppose I should have said "their going in on Monday" Let me know how it goes for you.

    Not B.S.. Not all tow truck drivers are bad. I know the owner of one who would never hire a bad person! All of his drivers are very nice.

    I had a dentist prepare my tooth for a root canal by surgically removing part of my gum. When it became infected, she told me I would have to see a specialist, who told me that my tooth would not support a crown and would have to be replaced with a implant! I went to a different dentist and had all of my teeth pulled and have not regretted it once. Don't waste your money on a root canal. The last dentist told me a root canal will last about 5 years before the tooth breaks again.

    Wow! Sounds like some people are only meant to ride in a cage. On most (all) bikes I've had, you straddle a motor exposing your legs to the heat and your ears to the noise, your exposed to to all of the elements, wind, rain, heat and cold, you must pay attention to your surroundings, the road and cages with someone just daydreaming while driving. What some complain about are the very reasons I ride.

    Anyone here read the story that Zimmerman, the mechanic, in Motorcycle Cruiser Magazine, had about the Harley Davidson corporate executives? Makes them sound like incompetent and corrupt are their bylaws.

    Try increasing your air pressure in the rear shock. I run 45 lbs riding 2 up, 50 lbs when loaded for the week.

    HD dealerships have changed a lot over the years. In 1985, coming back from a run I had cracked the intake manifold. The shop manager told me to take the bike to the dealer I bought the bike from for the warranty work. I broke the bike down in his parking lot by the front door and used bailing wire and duct tape to make a temporary repair.

    59, 1st bike was a Honda 55 trail bike my dad gave to me when I was in grade school. Haven't stopped riding since.

    I don't think I can live without it! What ever the cost, it's worth it.

    After hearing all that the dealer did, I'd suspect the fuel pump is starting to fail. They can fail in a very sneaky way. When it fails, it will be very hot. After it cools off, it will start working again for a couple days or weeks, or minutes.

    Stay cool. I'd check into a cooling vest. It can get a little warm there in July.

    I've had them since 2006. I like them. But, I bought these before the owner got involved in a fight and closed his business. I'm not real sure that the new pipes are the same as mine...

    It's kinda funny to hear someone talking about racing a touring bike in the twistys. How about loading the bike up like it was meant to be, full trunk, full saddle bags, and your wife or girlfriend on the back. I know I would probably lose that race, the 1st time I scrapped the pipes or the floorboards, I"d get ***** slapped on the back of the head!

    My 06 pump failed also. Seems like a lot of 06 pumps are failing.
