    Wow, never gave it a thought. How is the cam chain tensioned on the Royal Stars?

    16K on the Michelins and they still look good. These Michelins sound like the best deal. Thats great milage for a moto tire.

    I tightened the screws once years ago using no locktite and they have held just fine. I personally would not use locktite near any plastic.

    Ask your dentist how long the tooth will last after a root canal. Mine told me 5 years. I had mine pulled.

    My club just asked me to research tire changers. Do you think this would be a good choice, used in a club with 11 bikes, sport, cruisers and touring?

    Front rubber valve stem broke where it meets the rim. Ride got kinda wild, pulled into a parking lot and when checking the tire pressure, it came completely off. Ever try to lift this bike with a flat tire? I replaced the stem when I last replaced the tire. I will never use one again.

    I enjoyed the apes on my Harleys, never had any issues with them. Found them to be very comfortable on long rides.

    The only reason I bought a full blown touring road bike was to race everyone else on the road.

    At 28 psi, 2 up, the ride is great! I actually went from 36 psi because of the wear in the center of the tread. How is your tire wearing at 40 psi? This TA radial is my 2nd car tire on this bike:) The only issue I have had is that as the tire wears down I'm scrapping pipes in the twistys, causing me to ride a bit slower.

    I'm running 28 psi on my BF Goodrich, 2-up. Tire wear is even across the tread, except on the very edges, where the twisties wear it down. What pressure are you running?

    What is the best treatment for a vinyl seat. All of my older bikes have splits and cracks in the vinyl, and I have used cleaners,ect. on them. I never have had any issues with the leather seats I've had.

    I lowered the front by raising the tubes in the front and went Darkside with a BF Goodrich TA Radial in the back. Works great for me. The tire lowered the back about one inch. Remember, this is not for everyone, or so I've been told.

    My rear shock moaned from the day I purchased the bike. I now have over 70,000 miles on it, still moans on cold days.

    I have not found any that say Silica free, but the ingredient lists do not have Silica listed.

    Robin and I rode to Sturgus on the 69th anniversary run and spent a week in Deadwood. To ride in the Black Hills area with that many bikers was awesome! But you gotta understand, this is a run for the older bikers. I think that the best memories and experiences came on the ride there and back. We ran into 115 degree weather to snow and sleet. And the people we met everywhere were great! 3 days to get there, 1 week riding the hills, 3 days back. Leave the motorhome at home, and ride. You will never forget it!

    Only if he knows what he's talking about. I have found that the clearances tighten up on these valves, they don't loosen up.

    I'm kinda surprised by how many Venture riders over the years say they would want to go back to a V twin. I was branded by Harley for many years, than I rode a V 4. No way would I go back to a V twin.
