  1. You really dont get much more power out of exhaust, My 97 had 32MM carb swap, Mufflers, KN Flter, Dynatec 3000, and a Vmax rear end. It was pretty quick and was noticeably faster than stock, however the fastest one that I was on was Starfan here on the forum. He had all of my mods plus V Max Cams. That thing just came to life on the top end. Could not believe how quick that thing was!
  2. Not shure on the E4's but I just picked up a new rear E3 for $106.00 today and got it installed, Too good of a deal to pass up,..
  3. Will do, Thanks,.
  4. ,after I put it on the trailer,. 2006 Royal Venture with 18K miles. It had a rear brake caliper fire, and the insurance company totaled it out. This was a buddy's bike, and I was able to buy it from the insurance auction. Gonna get it fixed and put it up for sale. Should be a fun project,..
  5. Our buddy No Harley Charlie and his wife bougt a new Roadmaster last year. I was able to ride once myself, Beautiful Bike, Rides great etc. However I have seen the problems that they have had with it, and the local Indian Dealer (Smokin Joes) absolutely Sucks! (and I know this from a number of angles). SOme of the issues: Key Fob, alarm system not letting it start for no reason. Air Sock in the rear went bad on a trip. Oil Leak that was supposed to be fixed by the dealer and they messed it up. Cruise Control quitting on a trip. The Tan Seat is already wore out, and looks like it 30 years old. Bad fish eyes, orange peel on the paint. Its kinda like a Harley, They plan their long trips around Indian Dealers in case it breaks down... That said, They love the bike,...
  6. If you need a set of clamps to connect the pipes I have a set of these used but in great shape for $25.00 shipped. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Royal-Star-Venture-Harley-Davidson-Muffler-VTwin-Clamps-II-/251006468295?hash=item3a7126c0c7:m:mdLQ5-qfJdVhbYi_ylOkSyA&vxp=mtr
  7. So now that I have been able to put about 500 miles on it and use the system with Pandora I find out that the sound is very acceptable at Highway Speeds. Loving it!
  8. One bad thing, Apparently having Pandora Classic Rock pumped into the radio, and coming out of the 3 way Kicker 6x9's has an adverse effect on the Fuel Mileage,.. Figure that one out,..
  9. Thanks guys, So far so good, we did 250 miles on it Sunday and Monday and we love it. I usually only listen to tunes when riding alone so I was able to do more of that yesterday. It works great 65 and under, but at highway speeds it is still hearable, and usable but a little washed out. Still good enough. BigLeny, Yes I did get the paint, but I didn't "do" the paint. I aint that talented,.. the Burgundy was a 2 step process, the black was a single step. I special ordered the pinstripe so it matches about 85% close, then clear over the whole thing. Paint was not cheap, $175.00 for the paint, and I paid my buddy $300.00 for labor. Pinstripe was 20 bucks shipped. The paint pattern was a little different on this one, I couldn't do the burgundy on top, and black on the bottom 2 tone because the front fender is Bass Ackwards from the rest of the bike, Black on top, Burgundy on the bottom. So I decided to try to carry the divider line from the Bags, to the tank, to the fairing. Then to tie in the front, I went up the front center of the fairing with the black. I think it tied the bike together pretty well.
  10. No doubt, Good call on that one,. Here is the deal, I installed the Monster Ovals on my 97 Royal when converting from 4 into4 exhaust to 4 into 2 exhaust. I also lowered the leather bags during the process so everything was custom made. Here is a pic of that: Then I got my 07 Royal and wanted to put the MO's on that bike before selling the 97, well I assumed that since any stock Harley touring muffler would fit with the brackets, than any aftermarket muffler for the Harley's would be a bolt on deal with the brackets as well. I went to swap them out and ran into the issue that you are running into, but I already bought the brackets. I took them to my buddys Machine Shop he cut them down drilled new holes. Should have just made new brackets. Pics of that: That said, The MO's have the mounting points moved back from the end more than the stock Harley Mufflers just because of how they are built. I can olny assume that when you buy new MO's for your harley they come with new brackets as well. So when I was getting the 97 ready to sell, I bought some HD mufflers from CL to replace the MO's, that is when I realized I had a problem. so I ended up installing the stock Venture Mufflers on the 97 instead. It was way easier to make a bracket for them and the guy that bought loved it because it was quiet. Plus they actually looked pretty nice on there,.. So yes, bottom line wen someone wants to put Vance and Hines Monster Ovals on their Royal or Venture, they will have to make their own Brackets. But they are worth the effort!
  11. If they offer to pay your full asking price on the first communication,.. its a Scam,..lol
  12. Yes, for some reason, the Monster Ovals mounting points are different than stock HD Mufflers.
  13. Thank you, First ride home with it today, just had the radio, did not get a chance to hook up my Pandora yet, but so far so good!
  14. Fairing,.Done,....
  15. Gotchya do you have hard bags then? It is pretty easy to put Harley Pipes on them and they are cheap and easy to find. A little louder than stock, but quieter than most aftermarket pipes.
  16. It thought the first was scheduled around 32K miles. I did mine at 40K, had to change a couple but nothing alarming. Was not planing on doing it again till 100K, but sold it at 70K. Now the 07 that I bought has 14K on it and I will wait till 50k or so to do it to that one.
  17. Are they the 4 into 4 pipes, or 4 into 2?
  18. I have nice set of used clamps you will need to install them, $25.00 shpped if you are interested. Let me know. You will Love the Monster Ovals,..
  19. M22 is one of our favorite getaway rides! Great road, scenery, restaurants and little places to stop, all the way up to North Port and back town to Traverse City. There are a lot of side roads up and down the peninsulas as well. Looks like you had a great trip!
  20. No doubt that the shop could us an enema,..
  21. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-lighted-license-plate-frame-/251343966700?hash=item3a854491ec:g:2MwAAMXQ4uJR-xcK
  22. This was an easy brake light upgrade, I needed a new license plate frame, Found this one on ebay. You can wire it as Running and Brake, or just Brake, I chose just Brake so it pops a little more when hitting the brake. about $32.00 and the frame is very heavy duty.
  23. Got the wiring done up to the fairing, into a 4 way plug. I will be able to easily unplug and remove the fairing and pop on the windshield. Wiring it simply 12V constant for the radio memory, 12v Ignition and Ground. I also got the paint for the fairing, The Red is a 3 step process. Does this look like $170.00 worth of paint to you.... lol Got the Pinstriping in yesterday as well. Scheduled to get painted on next Tuesday. Ye haw,..
  24. Awesome, Cant wait till the next installment! Love the look of Georges Harley Very cool!
  25. It looks like it is sitting too high, making it hit the rear exhaust pipe and sit crooked, is there a spacer under the bracket where it bolt to the motor? Maybe remove it,. or try to make it sit lower,.. Mine sits way closer to the exhaust pipe and I did what DJH3 suggested, Bent the connector 90 deg and zip tied them up, No problems. Couple pics,.. By the way, This horn works Awesome, I still have the stock horn in the front fairing that I can give a quick "toot" before the Stebel horn spools up, but when it does, I am heard!
