  1. Thanks to All... I found this...
  2. How do I determine what trany I have. I have a 24 feet 1984 Ford M/H with a 460 V8. I'm concluding it is a 1 ton. What I need is to install a new trany gasket. I called my local Ford Dealer and his info no longer goes back 30 years. I go to an auto parts store and they ask me what trany I have. Thanks for your help. Brian PS: Could I just buy some gasket material and trace one from the pan? If so, what kind of gasket material should I purchase?
  3. Very Nice...Reminds me of my 91 with 6500 miles...Just don't do what I did and wrecked it in the Nevada dessert hwyway...Enjoy...
  4. I'm willing to pay a member.... and... Put up room and board... The following is my project... My 89 VR is in excellent condition but needs the carbs rebuilt... Many of you know that I wrecked my 91 VR with less than 10,000 origional miles. I've lost some dexterity in my left hand and fingers for tight and delicate movements I would like to remove the carbs from the 91 VR. All the plastic had been destroyed. Evaluate the the carbs and hopefully it would just need a good cleaning. Then mount them on my 89 VR. I have a carb tune, 2 long needle nose plyers , 1 with a 90 degree bent tip. Plus have most required tools for an average home do it yourself mechanic. I'm loosing motivation in riding, if I do not get it fixed soon. At 62 my riding years are soon numbered. I'd like someone who really knows the 1st Gen that could do this over a weekend after June 16. But not during 4th July thru 13th July. After 13th July and before 24th August would work. Please PM me if you are interested. Tks... Brian T.
  5. I've never owned a telescope, but would like to really soon so I can view the 1st of 4 Blood Red Moon on 15th April, that is if the sky is clear. NASA says a Tetrad is about to occur, 4 back to back Blood Red Moons on 15 April, will be followed by another on Oct. 8, 2014, and another on April 4, 2015, and another on Sept. 28 2015... The Utube is much better if you search for "A Tetrad of Lunar Eclipses"... Rather than this Utube [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gzgSuJM5O8]ScienceCasts: A Tetrad of Lunar Eclipses - YouTube[/ame] The Last one is a Super Moon seen over the Middle East area. This one is in Craigs list in my area http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/fod/4394135605.html and was wondering if some one could give me their opinion.
  6. Won't the oven melt the plastic?
  7. Need suggestions on how to get this AA battery out. I tried pounding the leg on a hard surface, thinking that gravity would work it down. I tried baking soda water solution thinking that would loosen it up. I tried a magnetic pick up. Did not work. There is not hole here I can push a stick down to push it out. Any ideas?
  8. Whats involved in replacing the power steering rack and pinion on a 94 Saturn.
  9. I've troubled shooted my bad TV picture to the TV itself. I know this by checking all the parts then lastly hooking a different TV solved the issue.. So my question is are there any experienced TV repairs here. I'm ok in taking it apart and swaping components. I'm guessing it could be the mother board but thats just a guess. It is an LCD TV. Any good suggestion would be appreciated. Any repair parts will need to be compared to the cost of a new tv for about $600.00. Thank You in advance.
  10. Correct....My previous post indicated success.
  11. OK, that last suggestion using the bench vise, in combination with all the other suggestion freed it loose. I had to really crank on the bench vise a few times, the only casuality was that the bit broke, but they are cheap. This a a great example of team work. Thanks everyone...
  12. Ok , found a small hose clamp, using the vise grip, looking at the bit end, and turned the wrench counter clockwise. As the wrench turns I can feel the shaft turning I think against the ball bearing lock. but not loosening. It feels like it is jumping the ball bearing lock.
  13. I sprayed some liquid Wrench on the bit shaft. Put a vise grip on the small chrome ball and locked it in place. Took the wrench and cranked on it a bit, but not too hard. I tried to treat it like a head bolt by turn it tight some then loose some then repeat it several times. Nothing is losening. It can't be that hard...could it?
  14. Here is another picture. I recall I only used it once to remove some grout. Never took the origional bit off. So I've never changed it.
  15. It won't loosen when I turn the wrench counter clock wise. I've attached a picture of it. I first press the small chrome ball bearing looking button, then turn the bit it until it locks in and won't turn either way. Then I turn the wrench counter clock wise and I end up just pushing the ball bearing button up. Maybe I could call you?
  16. I have a dremel tool and will be loaning it to a friend. My friend needs to put a different bit on. I can't seem to get the bit off. I have the small open end tool to turn the bit but I'm not sure which way to turn the wrench. The bit turns clock wise so I'm guessing that I turn it counter clock toget it off. Any one know which way I turn it to take the bit off. Before I put a lot of pressure on.
  17. My Hot Tub heater is taking several day to heat up the water. It went up 2 degrees in 24 hours. It is at 93 degrees just need 10 more degrees. Anyone now what I need to replace?
  18. My son has been out of the Army for just under a year and is in college. The following is what he is surveying... "I'm taking a Business Plan Creation class at UNLV, and part of the course requires us to come up with an idea for a business and collect responses to see the level of interest generated in that business. I decided on a survival school in Las Vegas, and created a survey. Please take a few minutes to complete my survey. It is targeted at people living in the Vegas valley, but anyone can respond to help me better understand the market. Also, please share this with your friends!" https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZWF5S5L

  20. But don't forget Russell Wilson's 1st snap of the ball in the NFC Chanpionship game with the 49ers. Didn't rattle Russell Wilson. I would have thought that the Broncos would be able to shake it off. Its party time in the Great Pacific Northwest. "Go Hawks..." Repeat...
  21. And Vikings for Percy Harvin. And the league for letting Russell for going in the 3rd round to Seattle. And all the other no name draft picks that are starters. All around Great team effort and coaching staff. 12th man also. Vikings are my 2nd favorite team, I wish them Super Bowl Champions during my life time. Broncos are my 3rd favorite team. For I lived in Colorado Springs while a Cadet at the Air Force Academy. Hope the Hawks coaching staff can keep the team together as they look at the teams salary cap. Hope Russell Wilson can be an example, and also use his leadership to convince that hugh salary is not everything but team work, friendship, championships, the fans the journey brings fullfillment and happiness.
  22. From Seattle... February 1 · Edited [/url] Seattle SeaHawks Will Light Up The Score Board, Blinding the broncos. Marshawn Lynch in the back field with Percy Harvin just about anywhere, will open up wide receivers (Tate, Kearse, Baldwin) and tight end (Zack Miller and Luke Wilson) with play action Russell Wilson at the helm, and Seahawks Great Offensive Line with the famous Legend of BOOM! 23. I'm researching into an older Diesel Truck. I've never owned a diesel vehicle and so would appreciate all you diesel truck owners honest opinion and experiences. I'm thinking around the year 2000 give or take a couple of years with about 100K miles. I do not have a preference wheather it is a Chev, Dodge, Ford or GMC. I just would like to know the make and year that has proven to be a good solid vehicle with mininual defects. My preferences are: 6 passenger truck where the passenger has its own doors. Automatic V8. Half Ton if one is made but 3/4 will do. No Duelies rear axle. Haven't decided 4 wheel drive or not. Fuel Injection Your recommendations apprediated.
  24. Go Denver over Patriots Go Seahawks over 49ers
