BEST TRUE LAWYER STORY OF THE YEAR, DECADE, AND POSSIBLY THE CENTURY This took place in Charlotte, North Carolina . A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against, among other things, fire. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost 'in a series of small fires.' The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued - and WON! (Stay with me.) Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company, in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable 'fire' and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the cigars that perished in the 'fires'. NOW FOR THE BEST PART... After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!! With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine. This true story won First Place in last year's Criminal Lawyers Award contest. ONLY IN AMERICA ............NO WONDER THE REST OF THE WORLD THINKS WE'RE NUTS

This will drive you crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep at it 'cause it is possible. This is one way to keep your mind sharp! It's a little 'test' that is (supposedly) part of a second grade Computer class in China . Some figure it out right away. Others report having to work on it for a week (or more) to solve it. Have fun and don't forget to forward to your kids & grandchildren. Frog Leap Test

Interesting info about new battery technology
GolfVenture replied to frankd's topic in Watering Hole
I definately would like to go this route when I need another battery, however there was another discussion thread about lithum batteries that brought up a charging issue. I do not understand it all and so I hoping that your topic again will draw more attention and replies. -
Wow great instructions and illustrations. By any chance someone have similar set of instructions for a 1st Gen MKII (89 VR).

I'm down to almost half a tank, and I put 16 oz in. Thank You all for the advise.
-
If 8 fl oz for a M/C is recommended for the 1st time, then would 32 fl oz for a 20 gal tank be recommended for a truck or is that too much for a 1st time. The truck runs fine its just that it is a 1993 and thought a clean up probably be good for it.

Yes. I reversed bleed the clutch and it easily pushed the air out into the reserves. Do you also do it for the brakes also?
-
Do they have hitches for 89 VR? What's the site address?
-
Now that I've finished flushing. The front brake hand lever kind of feels like a rock. Any suggestions?
-
Really Great invention. Just wondering how this will contribute to our over weight society.
-
Ok, sounds good. I'll fill the fluid to the top and pump down to what I think is half empty then refill. Do this 10 times and that would be about 5 Reservoirs worth. Thank You.
-
By any chance someone recorded how many strokes of the lever one needs to pump before new fluid is bleeding out? I bleed my clutch, front brakes and rear brakes. All the fluid that came out seemed really clean, being that I have only put 1000 miles since I purchased my 89 VR, I do not know when they were last bleeded. I pumped 4 times then refilled the Reservoir until I guessed it was enough. I also made sure that each Reservoir ended up half full for expansion.

Right Rear Bag Removal
GolfVenture replied to GolfVenture's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I got the side bag removed, and installed the speedbleeder. Now I can bleed the brakes. Again, thank you for all the help. -
I'm trying to install a brake speedbleeder on the rear of my 89 VR. I've removed the 2 side bolts, the 2 bottom bolts. the 3 reflector nuts and the 3 bottom screws for the lower chrome piece. The Bag is loose but can't seem to wiggle it out. The center reflector screw is giving me some challenges. What is there left for me to do? Also the bottom, front there is a metal bracket revitted to the floor can someone tell me what that is for?

They should let the Military Singing group sing it the Old Fashion Way. Half the time I can't understand the words or the melody. Just wait till they Out Source then the next generation won't know what the National Anthem is.

Record the game then start watching the recorded version around half time then skip thru all the commericials and the half time show. Good game. First I was for the Packers then in the 4th quarter I was for the Steelers to tighten up the game. I was acturally hoping the Steelers would have tied it up then in OT for the Packers to win it. I prefer a nail splitter of a game.

Foremost Insurance makes that clear up front. "Uninsrd/Underinsd Motorists BI" is the title of the catagory. Also Bodily Injury Liability (including Passenger Liability) up to $250,000/$500,000. Many other insurance company one has to pay extra to cover the m/c passenger. I'll have to ask about the trailer for I do have a trailer but am still looking for a trailer hitch.
