  3. I'm looking for a camera to capture my rides. What do you recommend and why? Also would you recommend mounting to the bike, or the helmet or the riders chest?
  4. I got the above order covered.
  5. I've got the above two orders covered. While the patches are being made, I'll continue taking orders, as long as I can, however I can't guarantee anything for there has to be an absolute cut off point somewhere and that will probably be when the total order is ready for packaging and shipping.
  6. I have all the above orders accounted for. Total Ordered So Far 3 1/2 inch wide = 20 5 3/4 inch wide = 22 7 inch wide = 19 9 inch wide = 8 Grand Total of 69. Any one else? I'll be submitting the order at 8:00 am 1 April 2011. And this is no joke.
  7. Total Ordered So Far 3 1/2 inch wide = 14 5 3/4 inch wide = 19 7 inch wide = 16 9 inch wide = 7 Grand Total of 56. I'm putting the order 1st thing in the morning. Any one else?
  8. Ok, I have everyone's order up to this msg.
  9. Times running out. Anyone else?
  10. I have a 91 Acura Legend that was burning oil excessively out the tail pipe. It was so bad that one could not see the road from the rear view mirror. It was really really bad. I did not want to put a lot of $s into it so at about 180K miles I would mix 30 wt oil with HyperLub at a 50/50 ratio for each oil change. It stop the excessive oil burning. I now have 210K miles. I also put some oil treatment to help out the seals. The Legend is still in good shape so I'm driving it unit some big expense comes along.
  11. Last chance to order I will be placing the order tomorrow morning. The 5 3/4 inch are costing approximately $5.30 US Dollar The 7 inch are costing approximately $7.00 US Dollar The remainder size cost will roughly vary I'll figure out the shipping/postage later. After I figure out the cost per person I will email each. PayPal or check payment will work This is what I have so far. Ponch 3 1/2 inch wide Qty = 2 Bongobobny 7 inch wide Qty = 1 Camos 9 inch wide Qty = 2 Jazzmann320 5 3/4 inch wide Qty = 2 Bubber 7 inch wide Qty = 1 Golf&Venture 9 inch wide Qty = 1 Golf&Venture 7 inch wide Qty = 1 Golf&Venture 3 1/2 inch wide Qty = 1 Attached is a prototype of the patch. The smaller the size the details are not a crisp. The provider recommended that 3 1/2 inch width be the smallest. Last Call.
  12. In June of 2010 I paid $2500 for my 89 VR with 23K. It was a Royale, but I has to re- soldier the CASS(fixed). The Electronic Crusie did not work(Not fixed). It had new tires. CB/Radio all worked. Everything in really nice condition except a chip off the faring edge.
  13. It could be a Bushtec hitch. Do a search on it.
  14. Does anyone use some sort of manuel cruise control (non electronic)?
  15. I saw the video and it answered my questions in the previous posting.
  16. Al Bates: How does the balancer work. I've made many purchases from HF and certain precision products I would question the quality. If I knew how the tool tells you where to put the weight and it works good, I would consider picking one up. Does it work for car tires also?
  17. Was wondering if anyone might be planning a maintenance day for Washington State in the near future. I'd hold one but I'm just a newbie to m/c in 27 years and with less than a year with the VR, so I don't know much nor do I have a lot of VR speciality tools. I do have a new and unused Carbtune, one of those steering tools from "Dingy", do have a m/c jack. Then I have some tools that I've collected over the years for my auto with some metric sockets, wrenches and allen. Do have a torque wrench. I have a lot of odds and end tools. Nothing really expensive. I do have a fairly good size place where I could back out the 3 cars to fit several bikes on a solid cement floor if it rains or a large cement pad in front of the garage if the weather is good. Just need someone with a lot of VR maintenance experience. I do have a huge deck that can accomodate a large barbeque. I think my profile has a picture of it behind my 89 VR. The down side is that I work 26 days on and 2 days off and many of my 2 days off are spent with my wife. But if planned far enough in the future I could make one work and it would need to be on a Sunday. Oh the other thing is that my wife and I have a no alcohol rule, sorrrrry. Let me know if this interests anyone.
  18. hmmm. That's a good question. I've only had my VR since June of 2010 and my 1st ride was from Sacramento to Tacoma and the bike did just fine after Condor tuned it up. Since then I've only rode it once about 100 miles. I've done a lot of small maintenance. I'm pretty sure my VR could make a trip like that. It only has 25k miles on it. Everything is working except the cruise control. It would be nice to get that fixed before. Actually I would like to color in some more states and providences before I get much older. I'm just toying with the idea of a 3 week trip in 2012. I'd like to hit Montana, SK, N Dakota, MB, ON, Minn, S Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Then the following year hit Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico. That would get me all the states west of the Mississippi in the continental US. I think I'll will start to bring up a trip like that to my wife. She wouldn't want to go for she would probably spend that time with our dauther and granddaughter in Sacramento. That would give me another year to go thru the VR.
  19. I once bought a new GL1100 and love it, except I could easily drag the center kick stand around sweeping curves up in Mt Rainier in Washington State. After having been bikeless for 27 years I thought that I would like to have another GL1100 as a collector bike. During my search I remembered the Venture and after doing some comparision I purchased an 89 Venture and am glad I did. The curves are so much more fun!
  20. I'm looking at purchasing a hitch from the HitchDoc. If anyone has any experience/ comments, I'd appreciate them.
  21. Does anyone have a louver from a broken Heater Vent Grill they could spare?
  22. Yep, my son, Army-Special Forces. I too have asked why he has to purchase some of his equipment. His reply is that his life is on the line and the government issues are from the lowest bidder. Some equiptment are good and some are not.
  23. 14,000,000,000,000 dollars is the US debt. If one could save a Dollar every second. Lets see = 233,333,333,333 minutes = 3,888,888,888 hours = 162,037,037 days = 443,937 years. Just think about that. I'm betting that congress will lift the debt ceiling. Up Up and Away to the next Trillion. You are only fooling yourself if you think that congress is going to balance the budget. I would invest in something but the US Dollar. Writing is on the wall. Diversify your investment.
  24. About 18 months ago I bought Silver, at of course, at an all time high. In about a month the prices went down about 15%. Today my investment is up over 100%. This last week I again bought some more silver at an all time high again. Can't seem to time it and buy it a dip. However it has gone steadly up. Guess I'll see what Silver will do in about a year.
  25. Are the Golf clubs in the trunk.
