  1. I Love America for it was average American's that fought and died for me. I was born in South Korea in 1952, right smack in the middle of the Korean War. Many wonder what was the war all about. Its about giving others a chance to live in freedom. I lost my family in the war and so being orphaned I was adopted into an average American family in Tacoma Wa. I met a lot of prejudice, but I gravitated to people who received me well. I Love America, for America has allowed me to be all I can be. Have goals, dreams and opportunities to purse them. If I would have been left to live in S. Korea, I would probably been a poor street sweeper for S. Korea has very strong prejudices and one is that orphans did not have much opportunities. I Love America for America gave me a loving Father and Mother and Brothers. America gave me the opportunity of a great education and employment. I earned spending money by delivering papers on my bicycle. I pursued my boyhood dream of becoming a US Airforce fighter pilot. I received the opportunity and spent 2 years at the US Airforce Academy as a Cadet pursuing my dream. I never did fulfill that dream for my lack of command of the English language got the better of me. I Love America for I got to pursue my boy hood dream. Aim high and even if you fall short, in America opportunity is just around the next corner. I raised my 2 children to serve their country. My daughter soon to be promoted to CAPT in US Airforce at Travis AFB, a Nurse. She is getting out after 4 years for she is a single mom. I’m proud of her and that she served her country. My son soon to be promoted to SSGT in Army, Special Forces, Arabic Linguist. He plans to get out soon also and purser other opportunities with is Army skills. I’m proud of him for the Army made him into a real man. I Love America for the US Military has been very good to me and my family. I Love America for America is Great. I Love America for good people and groups like the Patriot Guards of which I’m a recent new member. Thank all those that posted about the Patriot Guards. I like what I read on their site. Freedom isn’t Free but Joining the Patriot Guards is Free. Personally I feel that every American should join this organization and to server our Fallen Heros. I Love America and I thank all those in the US Military, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters and other Americans whose jeopardize their daily lives in service of America. Thank You America.
  2. Many times I go for a short ride and then when I return, I fill the gas tank again at home with my 5 gallon can so when I want to go for my next ride I can without the need to stop at the gas station to fill up. My question is, what is it about the tank design that each time I top off the tank the gas level slowly goes down. I did this one time about 5 times then quit.
  3. Any one near Buckley up for an early morning ride to Alder Lake and Back?
  4. The manufacturing process will begin next week, so you can still order. For sample pricing of a 7 in wide patch is $10.00 including shipping. The group order will be much less per patch. See attachment. There is new size that was requested 14 in wide. Anyone want to be included for a 14 in patch or any other size for the size is not an issue in the computer age we live in. Just Specify the size in # inches and 1/4 inches.

  6. Dave77459 ordered via email Two of the 3 1/2 in of the M/C patch
  7. Lost the left plug on a recent ride. Need an idea to keep it on snug, but yet able to get if off. Any one have an extra one laying around? My picture won't upload. It's the Left black plug that covers the nut that allows the handle bars to be adjusted up and down.
  8. Hi Mike, I to own an 89 VR, however I'm a rookie owner. I read this thread and see that you are receiving some advice on carb cleaning. If you eventually want to remove the 4 carb bowl drain nuts without removing the carb, to spray carb cleaner directly into the bowl area, just PM me, and I will post what I did to this thread.
  9. Brewser23 mentioned to me that in the beautiful country of Canada, that this weekend, May 24, is a Holiday celebrating Queen Victoria's birthday. With that bit of information I'll keep the order window open for another week. I educated myself with some Canadian History today and Wikipedia Queen Victoria. Cheers to Canada.

  15. Does anyone know the Stock Luggage Rack Diameter of a 1st Gen MKII. I'm at work and I'd like to order a flag mount.
  16. Viewed to the end and sent to 18 family and friends. Thank you for posting it.
  17. I've attached sample RSTD patches. It will say RSTC and Tour Classic. The sizes can easily be any size you want it doesn't have to be 3 1/2in; 5 3/4in; 7in; 9in. But that is was the Venture groups did. This group can decide on a color scheme or you can have your own color. The more orders for a specific design and color the less per patch. So put your orders on this thread with you address on 3 lines please. Please do not put your address on all one line. Brian T.
  18. $1200 sound pretty high for a Venture that is not running, no mather what they say is all that it need. If it is all that it needs then why don't they put the $125 into it and sell it for much more. I'd offer them maybe $500.00.
  19. Yes Brenda, I have not forgotten your request. Just before placing a group order I will ask about the cost for your patch. Now did you only want a Star patch for the Classic or did you want a Classic M/C patch also. What ever you want you being the only Classic request can request the exact size you would like. Just let me know the following: 1) What kind of patches you want 2) What size width you want 3) The quantity of each size and type of patches. 4) Are there any specific color changes you would like
  20. So I see that there are interest in both designs. I'm still waiting for the answer about the reflective thread. Now the patches can be made easily in various sizes. This is my experience with the sizes with the Venture patches. And I'm concluding that the same would be true for the RSTD patches. The largest patch that can be made is about 15.75 inches wide. The smallest that was recommended for the Venture patch was 3 1/2 in wide. Anything smaller than 3 1/2 in wide the details really suffers. Now for the Venture Patches the sizes that were ordered were the following: 3 1/2 in; 5 3/4in; 7 in; 9 in; 15 3/4 in But the Sizes can be easily made to yours or the groups specific needs. So for now how about people sending in their size request then we can group them into buckets. After that we can then take orders.
  21. Ok here are the two RSTD prototypes. 1) The Star Logo 2) The M/C Logo I will hear soon about the reflective thread. Does any one have any suggestions for improvements. I will contact Freebird if there is a way to send out a PM to all those who rides RSTD and RSTC.
  22. Ditto: Happy Birthday Condor. I wonder who is older you or me?
  23. The attachment is of the non M/C patch. The backup patch that I suggested. The M/C path has so much details that it will take more time. I'm hoping that the prototype will be finished by the end of this week. Be Patience and keep your fingers crossed.
  24. Agree. One can't talk Politics and Religion at work. One can't talk Politics at Church. One can't talk Politics and Religion with relatives. One can't talk Politics and Religion with friends. One can't talk Politics and Religion at social functions. One can't talk Politics and Religion in public. So therefore one can't really talk about Politics and Religion any where. Well maybe in your home still. We each will still receive input on Politics and Religion. You ask where? From the media who is allowed to speak their opinion and has creatively shut out the individual's right to speak their opinion in a county who boasts the freedom of free speech. Well at least we can still think our mind to ourselves. Oh wait we might offend those who possess ESP.
