Does anyone know how to repair a chip off a colored porcelain sink? Or a contractor type that does this type of repair if possible? I contacted Home Depot and they have a fix kit for white but not colored. Or maybe I can get the paint shop to mix a pint and mix it with the white fix kit if possible.

1st Gen MKI Handle Bar ?
GolfVenture replied to GolfVenture's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Thank you. -
I have an MKII. 1) I just like to know if the MKI has a 17mm nut where the black plastic cover goes over the nut at the bent. 2) Also what is the biggest socket that will fit into that same opening ignoring the 17mm nut. On my MKII a Craftsman 19mm socket is the biggest socket that fits into that hole. Appreciate someone providing that information.

Accessory light package for the trunk with yellow turn signals, run and stop lights. Nice Accessory. This would elminate a project of mine to add LEDs into that reflector. All one would need to do is to just switch the bulbs to LED. I have all the LED strip lights and parts to make the conversion but have not gotten to it yet.

I have a friend that has a 1200 Goldwing and he has problem bleeding his rear brakes. He Bleeds some of the fluid, fills the fluid up and closes the bleed valve and resourivore lid. When he pumps the rear brake peddle he has no break pressure. The break peddle goes all the way to the bottom with several pumps. Does it over again with the same result. Any suggestion?

I just purchased a Chrome Radiator Grill from ebay and learned that I need spacers for correct installation. Was wonder if someone with one of these might remove a spacer and post the diameter and thickness of the spacer. There is a Mclendons Hardware store near by and they have all sorts of spacers in various sizes. I would also think that a Nylon Spacer would work for it would be far enough away from the Radiator heat. If I can't find the exact size I might be able to find one long spacer and chop saw it to the specific length.

I do not have any more. Two additional members have showned interest so I'll start a 2nd Group order. Pricing will depend on the order quantity. Your posting here is not a committment to purchase but just an interest depending on the cost. Lets temporarly set 7 April as a cut off day. Please post here if you interested in one. ************************ 1) The threads that are cut on the tool to go on the Speedometer are cut to match the threads exactly so there is so very little room for grease to make its way out the threads. He took measurements of the origional coupling threads and the threads on the speedometer. 2) The tool is screwed onto the speedometer several, several, several times so the grease has a long way to travel before it could come out the coupling threads if it could get past 1) above. 3) The tool can also be screwed onto the speedometer so far that the end of the speedometer can actually seat inside the tool to the end of its thread. but it is not recommended to screw all the way till it is seated for you will want to leave about 1 full turn left to give you wiggle room in case the grease fitting nipple is pointed in the wrong direction. 4) The threads on the other end where the grease fitting screws into was cut with a flaired threading the last 3/4 of a turn so to also give more wiggle room in case the grease nipple is pointed in the wrong direction. I recommend putting lock tight on this thread. I included a procedure instructions so one can align the tool with the lock tight. Then to remove the tool and allowing the lock tight to cure before using. When I used my tool, It pumped easy at first to fill the void with grease then I felt the resistence. I'm not a real strong person but I gave it one good solid hard pump. I was squeezing so tight that my hand and arm shook before grease came out the fitting where the grease gun goes on.

Glad to hear your daughter is find and will soon be 100% again. I don't know what the laws and processes are in Kansas, but this is what I've done in past couple of car accidents that were not my fault, and if you can afford to wait to settle the medical. In Washington if it is 2 seperate insurance company I have 3 years to settle. I keep going to the Dr and/or Chrioprator for anything that I think is accident related and until the Dr and the Chiropratic and physicial theropy released me. I wait till the other insurance company makes an settlement offer. I counter with a hugh counter. they up their settlement but we never come to an agreement but I get a letter from them for their final offer. Now I take the letter to an athorney and tell the athorney that they can have their normal 1/3 of anything above the last offer. They revierw the case to decide if it is worth their time, and normally it is. The insurance co up the offer another 30% and I got 2/3 of that. It mounted to several more thousands of dollars. In my case the other driver had no insurance and so it went against my uninsurance motorist which then extends the 3 years to 6 years. it has been 10 years since my accident and I've not seen any significant hike in my preinums. This suggestion was given to me by a friend who spent his entire 30 years in the auto insurance co business. Another thing is never settle the medical till near the end of the time period. He shared a couple of stories where the person settled and a year later a brain injury developed and the Dr related it to the accident. Once settled and signed there is no recourse. Good Luck.

Basement Project Completed. Now for my Venture Projects
GolfVenture replied to GolfVenture's topic in Watering Hole
I had basement especially built for my aging mother back in 1987 during construction. My mother’s house, in Tacoma WA. was built by her Dad during WII one room at a time. Times were tough back then and one views life a bit different, especially when one survived the depression in North Dakota. As buildings went up around her, they built a foot or two higher than her home and so during winter much of the surrounding water run off went into her back yard and into the crawl space. Over the decades the foundation settled. She able to sell her home to a skillful handy man on a real estate contract. She moved into my basement apt until my wife, daughter and I could no longer provide her 7/24 care for she ended up with a sever case of Alzheimer which later took her life. It was very depressing when it came to the point when she did not know who I was. She lived her remaining years in an assisted living home. A Boeing coworker heard of the apt basement and soon we had her mother living in the basement for about 3 years. She too later moved into an assisted living home. My daughter an Air Force nurse was finishing her 4 year commissioning commitment from ROTC and is getting out this coming April. So she and her newly wed husband are both looking for employment on the West Coast. We are hoping somewhere in the Seattle area. She has found several nursing openings but just has not connected with the right job. And her husband is a recent Stanford grad (Masters in Structural Engineering), and he too has not connected with the right job. A few close ones, but like most employees are looking for degrees with experience. So I told them that I will remodel the basement for them as a back up plan in the event they are still unemployed when she exits the Air Force. If they do not move in then, we will be looking for a renter or maybe someone might want to use it for an office of some sort. We are going to just get the word out when it is available. We would prefer a retired couple or retired single being that it is part of our home and we would like quite and responsible renters. So if you might know of someone that would like to be close to stores but has a country flair, you can drop me a PM.
