Where can one order Passenger Arm Rests that fits MKII?

Being that were kind of like close distance neighbors, when the weather gets good in our area, I'd like to do the North Cascade Loop, or maybe around the Olympic Peninsula. The last time I did the North Cascade Loop was in the early 80s with my new 1100 Goldwing. I’ve never done the Olympic Peninsula. Also I need to make a trip to Entiat WA. There is a golf course there that I played at and they were all out of logo balls, so my collection has this one spot for their golf ball. When I do the North Cascade trip I definitely need to make a stop there. Then I need to decide if I’m going to fly or ride to Las Vegas.

How about advertizing it in Craigslist with his cellphone #. Ride it or Sell it.

North. I'm in Washington State and could do Oregon, or Idaho.

Has anyone rode the route from Seattle WA to Las Vegas NV. Via (Seattle, Yakima, Kennewick, Bosie, Twin Falls, Las Vegas). Might be taking a ride around the June / July time frame. Whats the gas station situation like between Twin Falls Idaho to Las Vegas NV. I'd love to try that 1000 Butt ride thing, but probably won't for I'd probably fall asleep riding. My wife said she won't ride that far looking directly into the back of my helmet or constantly turning from side to side. She'll go by air. That be fine with me for I can make better time. Less potty brakes and rest stops.

GolfVenture replied to Snaggletooth's topic in General Tech Talk
I used to ride a 2 stroke and I've just used a good grade of 2 stroke oil. But that was like almost 30 years ago. -
1988 Venture Royale
GolfVenture replied to edtheguy's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Try snipping the ends of the plug wires 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch on the plug end then screw the cap back on and test. If that does not work then snip the other end and test. -
Ok, I just received this from ebay today. The guy bought it a few months after he bought his New 83 Venture, but never wore the buckle. Whos got one of these?

I'm needing the control knob for the Squelch Control on the CB. I think the Off/On volumn CB control knob is the same. If anyone has one to sell please PM me.

So I replaced my springs with progressives and this is what came out. None of the instructions referenced this piece. Maybe someone might want to referenced this in the Progressive instructions for new comers so it does not throw them like it did me. So when I removed the 17mm cap, picture 1 is what I saw. When I removed it as I pull picture 1 thing out the 4 inch spacer can along with it. After the 4 inch spacer then I pulled the flat washer with the collar. I pulled this thing of picture 1 off the 4 inch spacer. It came off kinda of hard but because the instructions/picture did not show it to discard I put it back in. Also because it had the O-ring I thought it was of some signifcant so I used it. Well I tryed to add the 1/2 inch ABS spacer and it was almost impossible to put the 17mm cap on. So I discard the ABS Spacer. This thing of picture 1 is about 1 inch in length with the flat washer. My 1st ride was pretty stiff. I removed this thing of picture 1 and replaced it with the 1/2 inch spacer with the washer collar. This morning I went a 2nd ride of the same course. Ride is still stiff, there might have been a very very slight improvement. This evening I'm going to remove the 1/2 ABS spacer, maybe I should also remove the washer too. Don't like the idea of the end of the spring butting up against the 17mm cap. At 173 lb, guess I'm a light weight. I sure hope the ride softens up some with no spacers. Oh I have a 91 VR. So for those who need to use a 1 inch spacer, rather than using 1 inch of ABS spacer you might consider the below. This is how I installed it for my 1st ride. Progressive Spring with the tight coil down 1st. Flat washer with the coller going inside the thing of picture 1. then the 17mm cap.

Your Progressive Spring ABS Spacer Length/Fork Oil & Ride
GolfVenture replied to GolfVenture's topic in Watering Hole
Oh I used 15 wt oil.. -
For those who have installed Progressive Springs in their MKII, I have a few questions. I need to readjust my spacer length and so I'd like to come as close as I can to the perfect desired ride. I love what the progressive does to the handeling of my MKII, but mine is way too stiff. I would like to use a spacer size that would be the most appropiate for my 170 lbs(birthday suit). I rarely ride double and my storage trunks are pretty much empty. I would allow 10 to 15 lbs of stuff all together in my storage trunks. No Gas Tank Bag. I'm usually a one day rider so I travel pretty light. What length spacer do you use? What wt fork oil What length of non oil space did you leave after compressing your forks. Whats your weight? Hows soft and smooth is your ride? Would you like to use a different length spacer, or oil wt and why?

Wow, just got back from a good days ride to the Mt Rainier area and back. Yep the springs were stiff. Even when I breaked really hard the springs hardly collapsed. I used 15 wt oil. At 5.5 inches. I think I know what I did that casused the forks to be so hard. I followed the procedure and the pictures. See I did not use any of the ABS spacer for it would have been really to hard to get the 17 mm cap back on, with what I did below. I threw away the 4 inch metal spacer. So after I had the forkes complete collapsed I put 15 oz of oil and with a turkey baster marked at 5.5 inches, I sucked out everything above the 5.5 inched. I extended the forks with the wheel off the ground, I installed the tight coils end first into the forks. Then I put the metal washer with the collar that came out of the forks I installed upside down so the extended collar prt of the washer went into the opening of the metal cap with the oil ring. Then I put the 17mm cap on. The instruction did not say to discard he cap with the o-ring. The cap with the O-ring seemed to important to leave out so I installed it. It is just over an inch in length. So what I need to do is to remove the cap with the O-ring and replace it with a 1/2 inch ABS spacer. With all that said the Venture handled just beautifully in the corners. I'm sure that I was going at least 10 mph faster thru the corners faster than I 've comfortable done before for I know this route for it is a favorite route of mine. There's this one spot where the drop off is pretty sheer, and the road was twisty and windy. The Venture just breezed thru the corners. Soon on the straight aways I was going much faster for my confidence of the Venture increased, allowing me to attack the corners much more aggressively. I began to think that I should slow down before I get a ticket.

Got it all back together. As I took the VR off the center stand the front forks did not seem to collapse a bit. Sat on the VR and tried to rock the VR with the front break held. Forks still did not collapse. Took it for a slow spin on my private street with a speed bump. Did some quick stops. Still did not seem to collapse. The ride also seemed a but bumpy. I'm 5 ft 8 inch about 173lb. Is this how Progressive Springs are supposed to act at really slow speeds. I will be taking it out for a lenghy spin today. Would appreciate some input just incase I should not take it for a spin yet.

Glad I found this. I'm ready to begin the install procedure this morning. Also thanks for the talk yesterday KIC.

Just got a flyer offering a free pair of Oakleys to test drive a new Yamaha. Hmmm...The Sun is scheduled to appear...Test drive...Get a pair of Oakleys.... Play a few games of Craps, Black Jack and Texas Hold'em...Maybe meet some Venture members...Eat..then Ride home... Do I dare test ride a bike 21 year newer than my 91 VR. Wonder what I should test ride???

Well it has been just too many years since I worked with VB, but these days no matter what app you are using, help can be found on the web and sometimes much better than a text book. This might be too basic but maybe it might point him in the right direction. http://www.ehow.com/how_7352191_read-csv-file-vb.html

I'm thinking probably be time and money well spent to just install a new sink.
