  1. OK, my source is still available. As of yesterday I've received several requests, so I will start a new thread so I do not mix up past orders to current orders. Please go to the thread "Venture Patch Order 4/20/12" and place your order. Thank Youi.
  2. Alright another 1st Gen and a beauty at that. Only 7400 miles...wow? My 91 VR just turned over 7600 miles. Might have to just cross over the border from Las Vegas this year so I can check Arizona off on the site map. Never been to Arizona.
  3. Or maybe how about the polarized stuff that gets darker when there is more light and lighter when there is less light.
  4. Anyone have an extra Right Faring Cover to sell that will fit a 91 VR MKII? A couple of the screw holes cracked into pieces. I could try to plasticx fix it but thought I would as the group first. I need the one with the openings to accommodate all the standard OEM electronics.
  5. Could someone post a picture of their MKII Tank Rack. I'd like to see what it looks like to see if I might want one someday. Also any undesirable opinions of it would be helpful.
  6. I do remember.
  7. I've attached a couple of pictures of 2 chrome bubbles on my chrome front fender extension. Was wondering if I should just leave it or to take a razor blade and slice it then put some finger nail polish on it. Or maybe some other suggestion. What causes chrome bubbles and do they continue to grow?
  8. Dummy me, I don't remember if I had my built in polarized internal helmet shade pull down or not. Getting old is hard to adjust. In the 40s I can no longer jump off the boat stern onto the ground in my yard without feeling it the next day. In the 50s I can no longer sleep or lay on the floor without grunting to get up. The 60s my memory isn't as good. I wonder what it is going to be in the 70s.
  9. Dang, the best solution ever.
  10. Glare that you get off the instruments with the sun at your back.
  11. Anyone found any solution in reducing the sun glare on the dash. Was riding back home yesterday and the sun glare was really bad.
  12. I bleeded the line excessively and also sprayed lubercant on all the moving parts of the brake linkage which is different than the OEM for I have markland floor board on. It seemed to have corrected the issue for the break lights no longer stay on after depressing the foot pedal and very slowly letting off the pedal.
  13. Actually the card is 32 Gig, however my desktop just last year allowed me to access this same sd card. I viewed an enoumous video on some riding and copied them to the aux drive. Then one day it stop reading and just hangs.
  14. Any suggestion as to why my desk top pc won't access my sd card. My laptop can access the same SD card?
  15. My previous picture for some reason did not post. Trying again. I put a markland on my 91 VR. The hardware between the ball and the hitch plate is the accessory adaptor from Rivco so I can attach a flag holder or a cooler or a golf caddy. http://www.rivcoproducts.com/
  16. I received a suggestion to go bleed the h... out of the brake sytem. There might be some air still in the line.
  17. Thanks, read the posting. The thing is I've never messed with any part of the rear pedal to the calipars. Here is some more info. I also have an 89 VR with the OEM rear pedal set up and the pedal seems to have much more movement. The 91 has Markland floorboards. I moved it from the 89 to the 91 and has been working fine for about 600 miles. But the hardware never did seem to give much pedal movement, but all worked fine. The 91 VR has 7300 miles on it and I'm the 2nd owner. He has ridden it a little every year. The only thing I've done to it, is to put new plugs, some seafoam, and synced the carbs. The 91VR is litterly in show room condition. It never got rained on untill last about a week ago and only slightly. I read the recent posting. Its just that I've never messed with the rear pedal to the calipar in 6 month of riding of only 600 miles, which is about 10 seperate riding times. Might there be something that I can spray some lubercant. Last night I did some more testing and seems like after I press down on the pedal and release it quickly the rear brake light goes off and the rear wheel rolls just a tad freeer. If I release the rear pedal really slowly then the rear brake light stays on and just a tad more resistance on the wheel turning. Might there be something that I can spray some lubercant on beforer I go into tearing things apart?.
  18. After bleeding the foot pedal brake (91VR) both front and rear, now the rear brake seems to slightly drag. Put it on the center stand lifted up on the foot break pedal both the front and rear tire seems to spin freely. After pressing on the foot brake pedal, then letting it free the foot pedal does not come up like it used to. The front tire spins freely, but the rear tire was slightly harder to spin and the rear brake light stayed on. So I continued riding with my right foot under the brake foot. That seemed to be enough to release the rear brake. Any suggestions.
  19. No more sprine noise. Plus I put about 10 lbs in the front air then back it down some. It would not go below 7 lbs on the center stand. The performance of the springs seemed to improve. Ride seemed to be smoother over bumps.
  20. Well that is a personal preference. I myself prefer to look thru the shield http://clearviewshields.com/shop/correctshield.php
  21. The shield is both taller (25.5 in ) and wider (30 in).
  22. Was the buffering comparision done with the vent open or closed on the Clearview?
  23. So have you two traded Ventures to compare the charactertics of each shield. Which produces less buffering, for both the driver and passenger. Any noticable drop in mpg.
