    Someday I'm going to take the one off my VR and compare the two very closely. If do able I'm going ask my neighbor welder and have him move the hook and also to lengthen the stand a tiny bit. Sometimes I'm finding the VR kind of a struggle to get it off the side stand when 2 up, and sometimes only 1 up. I'll need to add the foot peg hook at the end of the foot of the side stand. Any caution thoughts of lengthing the stand? I'm thinking maybe 1/2 or 1 inch, depending on where it lays with the stand up on the VR. One thought that is of concern is are all the stress points of the stand the same, because this stand would be for a lighter bike.

    Kic can you take my measurements and see if it matched up with your MKI. I may have been sold something that does not even fit a Venture.

    I have a kick stand that I bought as a spare for my MKII and when I got it the spring hook location is not in the correct place. Maybe it is for a MKI. I'll have to find it and will take a picture of it.

    Are there any kind of filler or glue to keep it from lifting more then I could use the vinyle/leather care.

    Anyone know what the best way to fix the cracking of the vinyl from spreading? Also if anyone would rather have a brown backrest instead of a gray or black, in similar nice conditon and interested in a trade of some sort. The rest of the backrest is in excellect conditon. My 91 VR upholestry is the medium gray color.

    I just recently installed a Clearview shield. And I do see the instruction. "Can be Polished, Buffed, and is Safe to use Rain-X Original Clear Formula"

    I'll be staying in Las Vegas. But I definately will cross over into AZ so I can update my map to include AZ. I see that Tucson AZ is about 405 miles from Las Vegas. Any interesting places worth visiting in AZ with in say 200 miles from Las Vegas.

    I've been using Pledge but I rarely ride in the rain for I'm a fair weather rider. But Being that I'm going south from Washington to Oregon to Nevada & Arizona and then back, I want to be prepared for rain especially in Washington and Oregon. So that was why I was asking. I'll stick with pledge. Just one less thing to do.

    I need a waterproof bag idea that will cover one of those over-head, carry-on airline luggage bags. It is about 21" by 14" by 10". I will be carrying it on my cooler rack off my hitch on my 91 VR. Any idea would be appreciated. I though of just 55 gallon black garbage liner and duct tape it so the plastic does not flot in the wind. It isn't much for looks tho.

    I will be changing oil before I leave for Las Vegas from Seattle. What wt oil would be recommended for that area in Late June. I'm Guessing 20/40 or 20/50 wt?

    My ride from Seattle to Las Vegas is on. Needs some suggestions. 1) What bag fits nice on the rear trunk rack, and from the reads I found that 10 lbs is the recommended limit. 2) What bag fits nice on the passenger seat being that I'm riding single. I need this bag to fold flat so I can store it in the rear trunk for my wife will be traveling with me on the return ride from Las Vegas to Vacaville.

    This one on ebay saids it is new and waterproof for $25.00 shipping included. Is that a good price? I asked the seller for pictures as to what makes it Water proof or resistence.
