I have a kick stand that I bought as a spare for my MKII and when I got it the spring hook location is not in the correct place. Maybe it is for a MKI. I'll have to find it and will take a picture of it.

Are there any kind of filler or glue to keep it from lifting more then I could use the vinyle/leather care.

Anyone know what the best way to fix the cracking of the vinyl from spreading?

 

Also if anyone would rather have a brown backrest instead of a gray or black, in similar nice conditon and interested in a trade of some sort.

 

The rest of the backrest is in excellect conditon.

I'll be staying in Las Vegas. But I definately will cross over into AZ so I can update my map to include AZ. I see that Tucson AZ is about 405 miles from Las Vegas. Any interesting places worth visiting in AZ with in say 200 miles from Las Vegas.

I've been using Pledge but I rarely ride in the rain for I'm a fair weather rider. But Being that I'm going south from Washington to Oregon to Nevada & Arizona and then back, I want to be prepared for rain especially in Washington and Oregon. So that was why I was asking. I'll stick with pledge. Just one less thing to do.

I need a waterproof bag idea that will cover one of those over-head, carry-on airline luggage bags. It is about 21" by 14" by 10". I will be carrying it on my cooler rack off my hitch on my 91 VR.

 

Any idea would be appreciated.

 

I though of just 55 gallon black garbage liner and duct tape it so the plastic does not flot in the wind. It isn't much for looks tho.

[MKII Trunk Rack Bag & Passenger Seat Bag]

My ride from Seattle to Las Vegas is on.

 

Needs some suggestions.

 

1) What bag fits nice on the rear trunk rack, and from the reads I found that 10 lbs is the recommended limit.

 

2) What bag fits nice on the passenger seat being that I'm riding single. I need this bag to fold flat so I can store it in the rear trunk for my wife will be traveling with me on the return ride from Las Vegas to Vacaville.

He specifically said cigarette lighter, not power outlet.

 

Mine came from one of the auto parts stores, and has a rubber plug that installs into the hole, to make it waterproof. It is also lighted, to help finding it in the dark.

 

EDIT: The one in that pic isn't lighted. You'll find one with an orange ring around it, that is lighted. That's what I have now.

 

I thought the cig lighter and power outlet were the same. If not then I'd prefer the power outlet.

You might want to consider that it's not weather resistant. 12vdc power plugs are available at West Marine that are designed to stay dry. I have one on the '91VR that's installed in the upper right hand corner of the right side dash. I'll go take a pic as soon as things lighten up around here....

 

This one on ebay saids it is new and waterproof for $25.00 shipping included. Is that a good price? I asked the seller for pictures as to what makes it Water proof or resistence.

Have one question.

 

Well I learn that the drain plug does not screw off and after reading about it decided to leave it alone. I'll upgrade it when it starts to leak.

 

The question is after turning it several times. I do not know where to turn the drain plug to its origional position.

 

Any help here appreciated.
