I installed the Hornet on mine to a lighted rocker switch. The jury is still out, but I do put it on when I see the deer crossing signs or when traveling thru well treed hiways. I'm hoping that the additional noise whistle would complement the engine noise. But being my engine and exhaust system is stock the engine is pretty quite. The Whistle definately has a much higher pitch than the engine noise. The high pitch is definately a distraction while riding, my wife also commented on its irritation noise. So put it on a switch if you are going too, unless your hearing is not so good you could leave it on all the time. I heard the best thing to do is to just slow down about 10 mph and ready to break. The Hornet recommends to install at a 45 degree to the pavement. I learned this during the installation process. Before the purchase I thought one could install it straight ahead.

Being that I do not think I'll be able to find a set of those nice highly polished cylinder side covers that were on the rear set of cylinders on my 91 VR (Took them off my 89 Front Cylinders). Is there any one with the skill and equipment be willing to provide an insurance estimate for me. Thank You

Just what I need for my insurance co allows for replacement cost. Being that the brochure is about 20 years old that the prices could have easily doubled or more by then. Thanks Also thanks to Bob also.

Has anyone in the last couple of years purchased a set of Chrome Intake Air Vent for an MKII on ebay? If so could you tell me what you paid for them. I need some reasonable price comparions for an insurance claim.

Insurance Claim for Accessories with no receipts
GolfVenture replied to GolfVenture's topic in Watering Hole
Doing well. My daughter an RN is continually amazed of my recovery progress. She said that for my age and the injury received that I'm doing extremely well. Kinda of like when I had my 4 way by pass surgury in May of 2010 then in 4 1/2 months later I flew down to Vacaville and rode my 89 VR home 800 miles. This Friday will be the first to see how my left hand/wrist surgury of 18 days ago. Hoping for a good evaluation. I've been off of pain meds for several days and taking 2 Advil jell tabs ever 6 hours. Amost done putting my riding gear and m/c accessory list together. Thanks Everyone.- 5 replies

Clear View Windshield
GolfVenture replied to farm1810's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I carry a small tooth brush to clean the vent, along with some bottled water and a wash cloth to clean the windshield when I gas up or make a stop. Then some regular Pledge to give the shield a nice shine and the Pledge helps the next group pf bugs to clean off a bit easier. I like a clean shield. -
got the word that i will be released today as soon as my wife and sister-in-law gets up and around to dropping by. its a good day to be alive.

So if there are any members that might be interested in the VR, i'll get the name and address soon, and post. someone might be able to get it cheap from the salvage yard when the time comes.

Being that my left hand/wrist has pins and screws that it will be months before I know how much of it I will regain of it, with massive theropy. It is virtually use less. My right ribs and collar bone broken in several places, my right fingers and arm gets really sore and tired. So when you come accross any 1st Gen that could support me justifing a case to receiving more than NADA $5095. closer to $5750.00 please post here. My 91 VR had 9200 miles and was beautiful. When I get home I will continue. 1) finish the patch order 2) work the thumb switch order 3) work the side cover panel rail bar. 4) turn buckle accessory cross bar. 5) Introduce a new 1st Gen Patch. Thanks in advance Brian
