    I should have turned the fender around. I wasn't being all that careful. The back side is broken off, quite a ways up. If your really interested I can get a better picture?

    I've been busy dismantling my wrecked 91VR. Before I take this stuff to the dump, I'd though I would give the group a look. Some of you are pretty creative. If you want a closer look at a specific item, just point it out.

    Around 2:30 pm saw a really nice looking Blonde 1st Gen MKII cross the Puyallup River heading to the Old Canery. Was wondering if it was someone from this group.

    Take some latex gloves, packs light, and keeps your hands clean. Zip Ties I pack my boat's flair gun with a few flairs with my VR. Space Blanket. One side reflects sun's heat, the other side keeps you really warm. Duck Tape. Small Umbrella. Ratchet Tie Down Straps. Can possibly help you get your bike out of a ditch. 41R-71 Relay - Controls, Turn Signals, Headlight, Requires to start Engine.

    My 1st time was in the garage and I was 5 month recovering from open heart surgury. I used a come-a-long. Picked it right up.

    Actually thats SOL for the insurance co for that does not give them much options except to give my proposal more consideration. I have 4 good Craiglist Ventures and the NADA book.

    Yes, so the insurance co submitted 2 bikes from craigslist and cycle trader as comps and I've rejected them for both were damaged and in need of repair. This was discovered after I called on their 2 adds. And the ins co are not adding and dollar amounts to compensate for damage and repairs. I submitted 4 bikes about 3 to 5 years older than my 91 all in very good condition, but of course these 4 askng price are about 1500 more than the ins co. So now I'm thinking they will go to Ebay looking for low comps. I want to get a jump on them and do some research.

    Anyone have a MKII right handle bar grip end section just laying around. It can be in really bad condition. My wrecked 91 VR right handle bar got bent down vertically so bad that the bike is unmoveable. I just need one so I can move the wrecked VR in and out of the garage when needed. I'm not sure but maybe the end I need are interchangeable left or right.

    After looking at it, I don't think you will want to go to all the work of dismantelng and reassembling. For the needle is gone and the shaft is slightly bent and the trip meter bracket is bent also. It be chancy.

    I'll look at my wrecked 91 VR and will PM you what I have. The odometer will have exactly 9650 miles on it.

    Yes, thats the smaller one. The Radiator emblem is somewhat bigger.

    Sorry to hear you went down. Pray you heal up 100%. Take it easy, 1 day at a time. I'm about 2 months into my healing proces. My pins were in my left hands. Rest up and take care.

    I have some of this double sides tape used by aircraft manufacturing company. It is super strong, really thin, so the emblem sits really tight to the surface, not like some that are quite thick. It works great for me. Just tell me how big of a piece you need I can mail you some. I'd suggest riding somewhere to meet being were really close neighbors but due to injuries it probably be next year before I get back in the saddle. Or if you like to take a ride in the country one nice day from the Ft Lewis/McChord area to Buckley taking the back roads thru South Prairie. I'm not going anywhere for I'm on short term disability. Visitors welcome.

    Anyone have an approximate idea how much value of a bike is gained or lost for every 10,000 miles on the speedo? For example a 1991 VR with 10,000 miles vs one with 50,000 miles. And assuming if the two VR are identical in accessories and upgrades.
