Tea Leaf Restaurant 528 Garfield St S, Tacoma, WA 98444 Cross Streets: Between C St S and Park Ave S (253) 531-5232 For Harley Riders the parts store is a bit of a hike. Like 12.49 miles, But by now you probably pull a trailer full of parts. Dinner Menu are all family sharing style. Oh I just Skyped with daughter/family/grand kids and visiting wife in Vacaville CA. They maybe all coming up here around the end of March. So just pick a weekend that is best for the group.

Well If I attend, I would have to drive my cager, for my left arm thru the shoulder is not strong enough to balance the top heaviness of my MKII. Besides I still need to clean out the fuel system for I've not had time to look into it. I'm going in for my 3rd surgery for my wrist this Wednesday so maybe later in March would be better for me. The Surgery is not really all that serious. In Dec, 2 of my 3 pins began to work their way out and so the 2 were removed. The range of motion in my wrist and thumb seems to run into some resistance and the Dr. thinks it could be the other 3 pins. So the decision to remove the other 3. The incision would be pretty small, but I will still be put under. The other issue is that I may have to go onto the Boeing SPEEA Tech Strike Picket Line in March thru April. That is if the Union decides to Strike. Being that this would be my 1st strike experience on the picket line, I do not know what to expect. But if I was to pick a weekend...wait my wife is flying out to Vacaville Calif the 29th of March for her spring break vacation seeing or grand children. So my best chances would be either March 30th or 31st or even April 6th for she returns on the 7th. As for suggestions of places to meet and eat, I'm kind of tunnel vision. I seem to be in a rut. It is either Red Robin or Olive Garden or my favorite Chinese the "Tea Leaf", but I have sea food diet, I eat just about everything I see. You know us Asian we have an iron stomach, so I’m very open to explore outside of my rut zone. Now if the group is interested in Chinese food for say dinner, I have a place that I’ve been going for 38 years. I no longer go to the traditional Chinese restaurant for I have to drown it with soy souse. I go about once a month and I’ve ordered the same dishes for decades. I have introduce some of my “White & Black & Latino & Native Americian & all the rest” friends to the restaurant and if their digestive system is not bland, they usually also become life time customers. It is not HOT but can be ordered that way, but it is the unique spices that are used. It is Chinese with Korean cooks. It is a hole in the wall, like all great restaurants are, and it is about ½ ways between Bellevue and Olympia. It is in Tacoma less than a block east of the Pacific Lutheran University’s Library, plenty of parking. They have a small group room that holds maybe 25 seats so the group can get a little rowdy if you can’t control yourselves. They do serve beer.

Citi Mortgage (my current morgage co) has a special offer to existing customers with great credit, excellent payment history and employment history. 3.125 % loan for 15 years, with absolutely no cost to me and no penalty for paying the loan off early. Some of their good customers are being offered great refinance rate so in order to keep them with Citi Mortgage, they are offering this special program rather than potentially loose them to their compeititor. Absolutely no closing cost and if the loan fails to close for any reason even if citi mortgage has incured some cost still no cost to me. I will still make the same monthly payment and payoff in 22 months as schedule. It is just that if for some major unforeseen thing happens we have an extremely low monthly payment requirement. If I stay on track and pay the house off in 22 months, we will pay about $1000.00 less on our very last payment. A $1000 is better in my pocket than in their pocket. Has others received similar offers from their mortgage co. Are there any pitfalls that I might not know of?

I think I'll go back to the drawing board for something less chancy.

Thank You all for your suggestions and safety issue.. Hows this for a solution. I currently have a set of these, and I could purchase another set for $52.80 that includes a 20% coupon and a 10% sales tax. These loading ramps allow you to roll your ATVs, dirt bikes and appliances up into your truck bed with safety and ease! The sturdy steel construction of these ramps allows handles up to 1,000 lbs. to be loaded into your truck, van or trailer. Reduce risk of injury from lifting heavy objects by using these steel loading ramps over risky, make-shift plank ramps! 6 ft. long, 9" wide 14 guage steel U shape channel. 1000 lb. combined capacity (500 lbs each). Ideal for trucks, vans and trailers As I said I could buy a 2nd set, giving me 4 pieces of 6 ft sections. For the center ramp for the tires, I could bolt two back to back thinking that would bring the capacity up to the 1000 lbs capacity. The venture's wheel base is 63.5 inches where the ramp is 72 inches. The U shape will keep the tires in the channel. The floor of the U shape has about 80 sharpe edges from the retangular cut outs that will provide allow the tires to grip and not slip. The other 2 ramps can be spaced apart so my feet can provide stability as I slowly walk/ride the bike up the ramp. The feet ramps will place the U shape channel down lifting my feet 2 inches higher than the tire ramps providing me more stability condsidering that my Venture has Markland Driver Floorboards. On the foot ramp I could put some of that stairs, sandpaper, adheisive like stuff on the surface so my feet won't slip. Then I could put 2 or 3 metal cross strips on the bottom connecting all 3 ramps so the ramps do not move out on me. The last thing to consider is will the Venture get high centered. The trailer tongue could be raised up some being that the trailer will be hooked to the vehicle hitch. The question is how high will the tongue be raised for the venture to clear. And then is the trailer bed angle be at an unsafe angle as I dismount the venture onto its side stand. With a 2nd person, a wedge could be placed behind the rear wheel. But I need to a way to keep the Venture from possible rolling back if I'm by myself. Hmmm. I could take a 2 x 4, 6 inch long and cut a 3 inch wedge at each end and position it so that as the rear wheel goes over the high center of this wedge the front tire is up against the front wall. This would prevent the Venture from rolling back as I dismount. Of course this wedge needs to be removable when I unload the Venture. And I'll need to remember to raise the tongue to the same height. But then I need to make sure I'm on a level surface..hmmm.. Your Thoughts?

My wife is 5 feet and I'm, 5ft 8 in and we still have not found a solution. We have experimented with a 4 to 6 in piece of thick foam that gives the lift but then the wind buffering is too much for the passenger. The only solution I can think of is a huge, huge shield or some how lower the driver seat but the diver seat don't have much capacity to be lower too much. In a previous thead that I started to address the same issue one reply was "do you really want a back seat driver on a motorcycle."

Great, Thank You. Also I found a set of the mini chrome on ebay (new with old packaging) for $5.00 instead of the 11.99 from the link you gave me.

Ya I called my local ACE store and the sale is and individual store sale for the price is still $11.99, but thanks for the heads up. -
I just need 1 mini lens and the matching chrome grill. Thanks PS maybe if you could spare 2 mini lens and a set of those chrome grills. That way I can have a spare set.
-
Thanks...They are all out of stock of all the baron lens and grill.
-
Anyone have an extra Baron Mini Lens (1 & 3/4 inch long) & a Chrome cover laying around. The red color on the lens can be faded for I'm going to spray paint them with a red lens spray paint. I would prefer it not to be cracked. Also the Chrome cover can be dirty as long as I can steel wool it to a nice chrome shine and also prefer it not to be cracked. Willing to purchase. Thanks.

Ya, I do not go to Lowes for the same reason.

I have a member that is interested in one of these Thumb Switch Brackets. If you are also interested, please indicate "yes & qty" on this thread. You are NOT commiting to a purchase, but only indicating interest depending on price. But it is important that you indicate "yes & qty" rather than being idle, waiting to find out the price. Being idle can only drive the price up. If you have previously purchased, and have installed one, it would be really nice if you could post a picture of your installation.

Sometime sellers are asking more for private sale of used ones than new one, due to no registeration.

Its been a while since I looked at my wrecked 91. All the faring got grounded off on the payment. And for the left side cover insert I gave it to someone last year. Sorry.

Yep, If you could post pictures of all you are looking for, then your research one time, will save multi members in guessing and all their time. I'm pretty sure I may have a few of your needed items but it is kinda of like a guessing game. I wrecked my 91 last year.
