front forks not rit after progressive springs install
GolfVenture replied to johnnycruiser's topic in General Tech Talk
I use all of me 175 LBs and lift up and with a few grunts the bike finally goes onto the center stand. Infact as I'm standing on the kick stand I have to carefully balance and rock the bike. Like one, two , three, All my weight, lift up and grunt. -

Try putting an MKII on the center stand weighting 175 LB and in your 60s. I have to figure a better way for I'm concerned I may pull a hernia. -
OK, Everyone has paid and the order is in. One will be made from my sample and test for fit. There shouldn't be any adjustment needed but just in case. Then the rest will be made. If you are still interested please indicate so on this thread and I will try to get it in with this order. Price is on the 1st post on this thread.

I'd like a glove that provides more protection than my Tour Master Lattitude. My left wrist/hand too a beating on my accident last year. A friend of mind wears Rev'It SLR for highway riding commuting to work over 100 miles round trip. The Rev'It looks kind of big for tourning. What do you wear and what do you like about your glove and how protective is it.

To Spear: Here are a couple of pictures of members install. I used one button for Walmart 55 watt (Small Lights) near my mirrors to get the attention of on comming cars passing in my lane. Push On; Let go OFF 2nd one for Rear Attention Amber or Red light. To get the attention of maybe someone approaching to my rear to fast or to close with out tapping my brakes. Some members want to incorporate their garage door opener. Lots of other ideas. The main focus is to keep your left hand on the handle grip to activate a switch.

Dash Gauges 1st Generation
GolfVenture replied to diversity48's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
What ever resolution you decide on, you might want to take a look at this Speedo Coupling Greaser tool for maintenance. If you are interested, I could loan you mine. If you like it, you can keep it, for the regular advertised purchase price, for I can probably get another one down the rode from my friend who makes them. Otherwise just use it and send it back. The squeaking normally comes from the tiny bearing in the neck of the speedo coupling. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4264&title=1st-gen-speedometer-bearing-coupling-greaser&cat=37 -
I learned that postage from USA to Canada recently went up about $4.50 for a small item like this. So I've added the $4.50 to all the Canadian prices. USA price will not change unless the US Post Office announces an up charge before I ship, but I don't think that will happen. So for Canada If all 16 purchases: Canada $32.00; (includes shipping) If only 12 to 15 purchases: Canada $23.50; (includes shipping) If 11 or less purchases: Canada $35.00; (includes shipping) If you did not show interest but want one. Please indicate with a "Yes with a (quantity) on this thread. When everyone has responds, only time will tell what the actual cost will be.

Ok, I was able to negotiate a slightly better price than the last order which was (USA-$31.50; Canada-$32.50) including shipping. He gave an incentive depending on the quantity of order and better than last prices. If all 16 purchases: USA $26.50; Canada $27.50; (both includes shipping) If only 12 to 15 purchases: USA $28.00; Canada $29.00; (both includes shipping) If 11 or less purchases: USA $29.50; Canada $30.50; (both includes shipping) So for all those who showed interest I have sent each a PM. If you did not show interest but want one. Please with a "Yes with a (quantity) on this thread.

Wed. Plan surgery to remove 3 remaining pins in my left wrist. Plus removed some scar tissue from Surgery from June 2012. Blood pressure about 130 over something normal. Back home about 8:00 pm stayed up till 1:00 watching J Leno and took a pain pill. Went to bed Woke up 7:00 am. Walked with wife about 180 feet round trip to the detached garage to get the blood pressure unit. Put new batteries in. Came in the house and sat down and 1st blood pressure read was 77 over 50. Hmmm. Must be a malfunction. 2nd read was 75 over 50. hmmm whats wrong with this thing. Put on wife and it read 130 over 85. hmmm seems to work. So put it on me and this time the unit gave some error message. Then it started. Light headed, weak, Wife is rubbing my chest, head, yelling at me to wake up. She called 911. I was golng in and out faintly. Head her try to give direction. I said over 1st speed bump, immediate right then left 2nd gate. I also said bring the barf bucket incase I throw up. 911 came in a couple of minutes. About 1 miles up the road. Took my pressure Still low 80 over something. They gave me 4 chewable aspirins. Felt little better. Got me on a stretcher. Blood pressure going up some. To the hospital. Full 10 yards of test. All the simple and small stuff then Ct scan on the brain showed possibly something…MRI showed nothing. Heart scan showed nothing. Back home Sat noonish. All during the hospital stay just a tiny bit of lightness in the head. Blood pressure between 102 to 160 over some other number. Part of the high blood pressure is due to hand surgery. Felt great today. Going to take it easy for a while. Like I said what a ride.

I've been working on a 1st Gen Patch. I've had some comments that it would be nice to have a patch specfically for a 1st Gen. I've modified the previous Venture patch to be more 1st Gen specific. I'd like to open it up for suggestions. One goal was to have major colors to represent the various colors as close as I can. (Black/White/Blue/Maroon/Blonde/ I'm trying to get a darker and bright blue and a darker and brighter maroon. I'm going to change the big V from maroon to tan for there seems to be this thing about Blondes. I'm hoping to have the Number "1" available in the major colors except White. I will experiment the various objects to different colors for eye appeal. The Blue and Maroon object might get switched. The Balls on crowns might get colors to match the various colors. 1300 will also be available Open to your suggestions but can't make any promises.

Someone Up There Does NOT Want Me to Have a Hitch
GolfVenture replied to luke000's topic in Trailer Talk
Maybe between all of us we can put together a hitch for him. I'm willing to donate my Markland plate I have listed in our classified. It is solid and in good to better shape. -

What do you think it will do the 1/4 mile in?

Won't know for sure until firm decisions are made with non refundable airfare. I think you should just pick a weekend that is best for the group and I will try very hard to make it.
