  2. Couldn't seem to upload my MP4 video. Then I saw that MP4 is not on the list of valid file extensions. But MP3 is. Anyone know how to get the MP4 extension included?
  3. Tks for the reply. I have to laugh at myself. So Sat evening I took the Air-filter off Then put the correct oil filter socket on at the bottom. But I could not get the ratchet on. So I quit for it was getting dark. Next morning I went and got the old spring lever type wrench. I could not get it on at the bottom. Then I saw this fitting on at the bottom of the filter. I felt the center of this fitting and felt/though there was a hydrolic line going into the bottom of the filter. I said how can this be. I looked at the nre filter and there is no hole at th bottom of the filter. Well Maybe I got the wrong filter being that this my fitrst diesel. So I got my flash light and shined at the fitting at the bottom of the filter. Then I realized that I had left the filter scoket wrench over night. Took it and used the spring lever type of filter wrenct. Rest was a piece a cake. Was surprised that it too about 2 and 1/2 gallons of motor oil. But again thanks for replying. Brian T.

  6. My soldering was so bad that I couldn't stand it any more. I took it to the local music shop, where they solder all sorts of brass instruments. Being that I had already filled all the leaks, they said that the solder only needed cleaning up. They only charged me $25.00. I then cleaned it with what the music shop recommended with Mr Metal. Afterwards I polished with some good car wax. Now it is so slippery that my white gloves just wont grip it. So I use a latex glove. Works pretty good. I've included a picture.
  7. Heated and tried to wipe with a cloth. It leaks again. Will try again tomorrow.
  8. Got it today. Got right on it. Took a few tries until the the water stop leaking when I filled the bugle with water. Sounds really good now the leaks are plugged. My soldering techniques needs vast improvements. whats the best way to get the excess off?
  9. Yes, I can play it. That is how I discovered the leak. The bugle's sound/pitch wasn't what it used to be. So I cleaned the inside and as the pieces was apart and putting soapy water in it I found the leak. I used Mr Metal all over the bugle to bring back its origional shine. After I get it all fixed and repolished, I will then have to play it with white gloves so the oil from my hands do not tarnish it.
  10. Here you go cowpuc
  11. Thank you for your advises. Yes, I'd appreciate receiving enough solder and flux to fix it. I will PM my address. I have a butane torch, but have never done this type of repair, but I enjoy learning for the first time. I will remember about joints.
  12. I found a leak in my old bugle. Anyone have some instructions on how to solder it. If that fixes it great but if it there are other leaks then is there a suggestion how to solder all the connection joints. See Pictures.
  13. So far after 3 visits to Las Vegas over 12 years, I'm $800.00 to the good. Key is to quit when one is ahead and not get greety. I only play Ultimate Texas Hold'em, where everyone plays against the dealer like Black Jack.
  14. MGM Grand To all Active Military, Retired and Veterans, The MGM Grand in Las Vegas provides free parking at the following Casinos. MGM Grand Mandalay Bay Excalibur New York-New York Luxor Treasure Island Mirage Tropicana Bellagio. Casino parking used to be free several years ago, but no more. The MGM Grand has purchased 8 of the various local hotel parking garages and now charges for parking. Soon the other parking garages followed and charges for casino parking also. What you need to do is bring your military ID or a copy of your DD214. Some may question your DD214 for they do not know what the DD214 is. Just explain that the DD214 is the ultimate military ID where all other VA benefits and ID are issued from. Go to The MGM casino cashier or the MGM hotel receptionist and ask for a Players Card and show them you’re Military ID. They will issue you a Players Card with a Military & Veterans Program stamp on your Players Card. When you enter parking gate, push the button to receive your parking garage ticket. When you exit, put the parking garage ticket into the appropriate slot. When the amount is displayed, put your Players Card into the same slot. The Gate will rise up to exit. When requesting your Players Card, ask which casino parking garages honor this Military player’s card, for MGM may have purchased other casino parking garages. Get this list and transpose the list onto a map for quick reference. When I went to Old Town Las Vegas I knew I would have to pay for parking. What I did was ask if the Casino validated parking for military. First one said no, but I did not give up. Everywhere I played or purchased something I asked if they validated parking for military. One did and I showed them my Military MGM player’s card. I gave them the parking garage ticket and they scanned it. When I went to exit the gate listed up and away I went. Also everywhere you do business, always ask if they provide a military discount. I always received a 10% to 15% discount. I was really surprised how Las Vegas business supports Veterans, but you need to ask. This card saved me about $150.00.
  15. Thanks everyone. I'm going to get 2, one for each grip. My cruise control never worked when I bought the VR, and I just haven't taken the time to trouble shoot it.
  16. Does anyone know if this device works good. [h=1]Throttle Mounted Cruise Assist[/h]
  17. Ok, now I got my head on straight 89 is a 1st Gen MKII, and left sync is on the left. I got all 4 synced however the mercury barely reads 10 on the carb tune. And if I it idel then engine eventualy dies, after a few minutes. I've took the air cleaner off to see the throat and the cylinders barely move. What does that mean. Last year the mercury read about in the middle of the carb tune meter.
  18. was? 1st Gen 83 to 85 2nd Gen86 to 93 Something like that. Mine is an 89. And with the right side cover off do I need to take also the right air vent cover off also. For the life of me I can not see the philps screw to adjust carb 1 & 2. I thought 1 & 2 was synced from the left and the right 3 & 4 was synced from the right and the 2 banks also synced from the right. My attempt is making my venture run worse. For now, for my 89 VR, I need to know are 1 & 2 synced to each other from the left or right?
  19. Thank You FreeBird. Exactly what I'm looking for.
  20. Hi everyone..I'm still around...I have a Carb Tune and I used to have the instructions with pictures but can't seem to find it. I search for it on this site and no luck. Does anyone know where it is. I want to sync my carbs real early tomorrow morning. Tks

  22. Received 5 fuses for about $7.00. Installed on and the power strip works great. Thanks everyone.
  23. ok, thee a slow blowing fuse it is. Nothing special about my power strip. I just like to fix it. It will cost just about the same cost. thanks again.
  24. OK, 8A 250 volts it is then. Thanks to all. You guys are the best...
  25. Well first of all, thank you all for your help. I must not have been using the correct search words. That's evidence of my simplistic knowledge of fuses. I initially did not know if it was a Fast or Slow blowing fuse. Someone said Slow. Then someone else said on a power strip one would want a Fast. I never heard of a Fast or Slow until I posted this. I thought all Fuses Blew Fast. I think I'm going with "Fast" blowing fuse, unless convinced otherwise. 2nd the old fuse says 8A 125 Volts. Then a couple of you said 125 or 250 it does not make a difference. The two good links has 8A 250 Volts. Why should I not be concerned if 125 or 250 volts? Please let me know if an 8A 250 volt fuse is a good replacement, when the old fuse indicates an 8A 125 volt fuse? I could probably buy a new power strip for a few $s more than the cost of the fuse and shipping. I find fixing simple things kind of fun to do.
