  1. I think there are 2 allen head screws just underneath the joint on both sides that should be loosened.
  2. I agree... I had my MKII seat done by Butler. I rode for 18 hours and covered 800 + miles. My seat never did experience that sore saddle seat syndrom. So the next thing that I noticed was all my joints were really stiff as I got off the VR at various rest stops.
  3. Ya...You probably did tell me that your are a Subaru Guru about a year ago. Since then I recently had a birthday (60 + ?) and with each new birthday one is allowed to forget some facts. You just happen to be the lucky person. Next year you may have to remind me your name...Kilometer
  4. It didn't happen unless there are pictures.

  6. My sone has a Subaru AWD. On a trip one of his tires went bad. With the spare he rolled into the nearest Les Schwab Tire Center and requested a new tire. They would not sell him just a new tire but would only put on 4 new Tires. They said that with an AWD Vehicle that having 3 tires at 50% and 1 new at 100% that it could do damage to the tranmission. Is this true or just a sales pitch..?
  7. Well then Trun Signals are ok. I'll have to order some of these... Turn signals; 1157-A45-T, 1157 LED Bulb, Dual Intensity 45 SMD LED Tower, Amber, Qty 2 1156-A45-T, 1156 LED Bulb, Single Intensity 45 SMD LED Tower, Amber, Qty 2 Which are the front and which are the rear?
  8. I thought that one could not just replace brake lights and turn singals to LEDs resulting in some sort of flashing warning light in the dash control unit.
  9. I have a set of Progressive Springs that has less than 1 year of use. It came out of my wrecked 91 VR MKII. You would need to find out if it fits your MKI. I think it does but I'm not sure. Also I do not know what is meant by Front Down Tubes.
  10. Ya, I have a set of those also. the helmet seemed too easly to swing rubbing on the side of the helmet by the wind or someone brushing it as they walk by. Don't want to mare my beautiful helmet or the shield. Maybe I'm too pickey. Plus now I can mount a light bar where the helmet locks used to be.
  11. I really dispise the location of my Helmet Lock on my 89 & 91 VR. The 91 was located on front of the rear crash bar. The Helmet would drag on the ground. I do not have a picture of it for it is wrecked and mostly dismantled. The 89 VR is on the very end just below the rear trunk. I found it difficult to use and so I never used it. So I end up putting them in the trunk. I know that the helmets are more secure in the trunk, But some times the trunk is full, or I may be just taking a rest stop or site seeing stop and just want an easy place to put the helmets. But yet somewhat secure. I was looking at the 2 allen head screws at the last joint of the handle bar and thought hmmm... wonder if.. So I tried it and I really like it. I unscrewed the inside screws of the 2 screw set on each side of the handle bar. See Pictures Before / After / and with a Helmet on. Try it you might also like it. 2 philips SS screws about 2 inches long with reset heads. $1.25 each. Now I can put a light bar where the helmet locks used to be and install my new Custom Dynamics lights there.
  12. Ya I in the last month order a couple hundred dollars worth also...
  13. Brake Pad suggested to look into the Gate Valve. Its refered to when you google for Noisey Toilet. I will look into it and then report back...
  14. Yep, I walked into that one...
  15. My wife has mentioned that she would like to get new toilets for ours is too noisy. I've replaced the internal toilet tank mechenism, but I do agee one can really hear the water refilling process all throught out the house. New toilets do not have a noise rating on the box. Anyone dealt with this issue and found a good solution.
  16. In My Opinion Disadvantage: If you're on the short legged side, flat footing the ground is harder. In hard cornering you will drag the board's underside. Some do not like or get used to using the heal down level to put it into 1st gear and the toe down lever for the other gears. Then the reverse going down the gears. Sometimes I use my toe to hit the heal shifter. I've noticed that the 1 important nut kept unscrewing, So I had to put some lock tight on and carry some with me incase it still comes loose. An expensive add on. The side kick stand is harder for your boot to get a hold of. I had the hook on the side stand cut off, reweld and lengthen and moved a bit so my boot can get the hook easier. Advantages: All the gear motions are down on the level. Heal Down for 1st and Toe Down for that other gears. (I like it) Sometimes I use my toes all the time to shift. You do not scuff your left boot's toe area over time when putting into 1st. Some feel the floorboards are more comfortable than the pegs. (I like it).
  17. Photo is probably 2 years old. It was my daughters promotion to Captain. Starting from the right: Wife - Rachel Me - Brian Daughter - Leah Granddaughter - Kailia Son-in-Law - Bryson.

  19. I'm interested (13 Pin).
  20. Don't know if this applies. When I get A Round Tuit. What is A Round Tuit?
  21. Couid you post a picture?
  22. I myself would take a closer look at the one in Texas with the trailer for $2800. I'd fly down and ride it home... Put some $$$ down on it and maybe he would hold it until the weather got better...
  23. So Sorry for your family's loss. Its a great loss at any age but at 17...
  24. Ya, I saw that connecting rod. So I took the circle clip off the end of the rod and was able to tweek the rod and now all 4 plungers work together corectly. The tricky part was to get the tiny circle clip off without it flying off and loosing it. So I put a shop towel under the carb and the engine. I took one of those electricial trouble shooting light. At one end is a clip and the other end is sharp and pointed. I took the sharp end and poked it in the slot away from the open clip end and applied some pressure. The clip came off gently. Now to get the clip back in without loosing it. I was lucky with a needle nose and it snapped in with out flying off.
