  2. I'm glad to hear everyone is happy with their spacer. Thanks again to you all!
  3. Just finished with a fluid change in the front and rear brakes after installing the speed bleeders. Most definitly the way to go. Bravo, excellent, thanks again guys for the great info. :cool10:
  4. Thanks for your input guys.
  5. Does anyone know what the shelf life of a tire should be? In other words should a tire still be sold if it has sat on a shelf for over 3or4 yrs? How long before they start to dry rot?
  6. Hey Tartan Terror, FYI the spacer brings the light out about 1-3/8" and down about 3/4". You can see it in the classifieds.
  7. As of right now I have nothing planned. But if it wasn't for the last minute I'd get nothing done. If I do make the trip I'll be sure to bring a few with. Thanks for asking.
  8. A HUGE THANK YOU! To everyone who purchased this spacer. I assume all are satisfied with it, your feedback/comments in the classified ad would be greatly appreciated. As much as I hated to do it, I had to increase the price by $5. I lost my connection for aluminum and cheap shipping rates. Bill W.
  9. You can try replacing the original screws with button head socket cap screws which have a lower profile.
  10. If your refering to the push button switch that comes with the lamps,I replaced mine with a toggle switch that I picked up at radio shack for under ten bucks and you can probably get one at any auto parts store, autozone, pep boys, etc.
  11. Haven't had any service done by Highlands Yamaha yet, but the customer service I recieved when in the store and over the phone was very good.

Isn't that the adjusting knob just left of the steering column in the fairing. Better late than never.
  13. Plugged into acc. outlet in the fairing, it only took a couple of minutes to fill the rear tire. It has a pressure guage right on the pump which worked fine also. After using it about 3 times there was no signs of a drained battery when restarting the bike.
  14. It was part of the "slime smart spair" tire repair kit I picked up at pep boys for about $20.00
  15. Did a trip around lake Michigan about a week ago. Starting in Chicago,by the time I was in Mackinaw I had a flat. I was carrying a slime kit with me consisting of a bottle of slime, small compressor, and attachments. Pulled out the screw like instructions recommended and filled tire with slime, it held for short time and started leaking again. Did this about 3x's than put the screw back in that I took out and rode all the way back to Chicago. I will not be using slime again but the port. compressor was handy. I'll try the ride-on next time. Bill
