Mine did that a couple of times, I unplugged the connection at the tank and cleaned the connectors and put some dielectic grease on it and it hasn't happened again.
-
Thanks for the info. From what I can see in the pic's it looks like it's in great shape. Any noticeable scratches or dings?

2009 RSV Top Heavy Question
BMW replied to DonWood's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
If you search the 2nd Gen. tech forums you will find pro's and con's on this issue. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/search.php?searchid=1561044 Personally I have not changed anything except gone to the avon venom tires and picked up some good tips from the ride like a pro video.http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=24973 Also did the experienced riders course for an added measure. Practice, practice, practice. -
When I changed mine I relocated it right on top so next time it's alot easier.

Rode it back in late July, Twice in the morning and twice early eavening on a Wednesday. Seen only one trooper and he was escorting a semi through the turns. Do the speed limit, ride safe, and have fun.
-
Allen, Glad to hear you made it through OK. I rode the dragon back in July and had a good time. Stayed in Pigeon Forge and rode through the smokies and onto the Blue Ridge Parkway, just spectacular riding Have a safe trip home. Bill...

Avon stock sizes, and I have about 5000 miles on them now. Including the "Tail Of The Dragon" twice and I have to say I would buy them again!

Folk's I'm not sure if all the original bolts that came with your light bars are the same, but when I did mine I was able to reuse the stainless steel button head cap screws to fasten the spacer back on the bike. I just put the black socket head cap screws in with the spacer just in case. Thanks Again Bill....
-
Folks, As certain situations dictate when and how many of these spacers I have avilable I would prefer to just list them on ebay when I have them. This way I'm not having to turn people away. Sorry for any inconvenience but this works best for me. Bill.... PS, If anyone locally has a vertical mill they would like to rent time to me on please PM me.

FILTER QUESTION: Why does Yamaha recommend the 5GH-13440-00-00 oil filter and here on this site it is listed as using the 3FV-13440-00-00? Can someone fill me in on this? Thanks ahead of time Bill....
