  3. Anybody else having not received their printed issues of the monthly magazine. It's going on three months for me not getting my monthly issue, I've emailed twice and left two voice messages with no response. Just wondering if anyone else has had issues:confused24: BMW
  4. I work for a company that has been considered an essential business because we print for the government, USPS, IRS. We have had three people confirmed with the Covid-19 virus. Our CEO of the company sent this article to all the employees and I found it very interesting. Why the coronavirus has been so successful. https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2020/03/biography-new-coronavirus/608338/
  5. #75 Now I really feel old!
  6. Still here, riding the same 05 RSV from new, 70,500 miles. Thanks to all the suggestions and ideas I got from members of this great group of people. Just turned 60, I think I have a few more miles in the tank. I'll be hanging around for awhile.
  7. Could be another culprit. I happen to work near this place http://www.midwestsetups.com/index.html Their web site is very vague but I'm always seeing trailers full of bikes, atv's, riding lawn mowers, and other motorized equipment being taken out of here. Certainly worth asking who put the bike together when purchasing a new one.
  8. Just tried it through IE and got the same thing. The website cannot display the page HTTP 500 Most likely causes: •The website is under maintenance. •The website has a programming error. What you can try: Refresh the page. Go back to the previous page. More information More information
  9. Don, It's still shows me the same message. It was working OK on Thursday. I'm not sure if it was on my end or the venturerider site. I didn't change anything on my end that I'm aware of.
  10. This is the message I get when I try to read a private message. This page isn’t working http://www.venturerider.org is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500
  11. Could there possibly be an issue with private messaging? It's showing me an error when I try to open a message.
  12. Hey Andy, Not sure what your looking for but here's a little variety. Once you get in Illinois along the river you can head down rte.20 into the town of Galena. Bunch of things to do and check out there. Heading a little north east out of Galena you can get on the stagecoach trail heading towards Scales Mound and on into Apple River Canyon State Park area, nice roads and very scenic. You can get on 20 and take that to 84 and head into the town of Savanna, very motorcycle friendly. Heading further down 84 you hit 52 and pick up 84 again and you can check out Poopy's pub, live music on the weekends. You need to stop and at least check out the L&M motel http://lmmotel.com/index.php in Savanna every room is decorated with a different theme. Plenty to see and do in this area. I haven't been that way recently so it would be a good idea to check what kind of road construction is going on, seems everywhere we have ridden so far this year has had some kind of road work going on. Good luck, and safe travels. Bill

  14. Bad neck and shoulders pushed me into using a crossbow. There are some really nice ones out there nowadays. Purchased a Ravin R9 last year, if you haven't seen or heard of these you need to go to BassPro and have them let you try it out. You might just want to get back up in the tree again.
  15. So I'm guessing, as long as you don't cover your bike while hauling it on a trailer the tongue weight doesn't matter.
  16. For what it's worth. Tim Schmidt, the founder of USCCA is supposed to be interviewed on 60 Minutes this coming Sunday evening. http://click.em.usconcealedcarry.com/?qs=6a1fb04911d44246f9c97b98280ad7227382a4e0dfe2e3f69d7109376d58aa7769b252415c47d09efecdd8f13fff1399679dd6c94a8fc7fb
  17. You got your money's worth out of that battery. 30 amp fuse is behind the side panel that is behind the left passenger floor board mount.
  18. New pick up coil, new stator installed. Fired right up! Success! Now just to get the rest of it put back together and go for a ride! Thanks again for all the suggestion's.
  19. Thanks for offering parts for testing. Right now bike is all apart waiting for pick up coil and stator to arrive, hopefully by tomorrow. If I still have problems after I get it back together I might take you up on that offer.

    Partzilla

Thanks for sharing your experience's, placed an order with them this afternoon. Said I should see my parts by Thur. or Fri. Works for me, certainly saved a few bucks.

    Partzilla

Has anyone used Partzilla recently? Are they still a reliable vendor for Yamaha parts? Need to get a few things and was curious.
  22. I've had the Hagon on for three years now and very satisfied with it's performance.
  23. Well after checking switches and relays numerous times, my son and I decided to go after the pick up coil. What a project, and now that I have that out I might as well replace the stator now that I'm in there. 13 years old, 66,000 miles, for a couple hundred bucks I would hate to have to go through this again. Definitely a winter project, loosing a lot of riding time. Thanks again for all the suggestions. I'll let you know how it works out, waiting on parts.
  24. Could a bad pick up coil be affecting the igniter unit? Had my son(Audi Mechanic) helping me check things yesterday and he said the pick up coil is showing that it's open and that it shouldn't be. Still not getting any spark at the plugs. What next? Electrical is my weak point.
