  1. Northern winters? Come up to Winnipeg and visit us this winter. You will have to put chains on the trike. Sorry about the distance to the grandson but 4 hours aren't that bad. My neighbor's grandkids are 8 to 9 hours away and they do travel a lot. 18 Hours ! where'd ya get 4 ? Cow town in the winter, NO THANKS, I'd break my other ankle on frozen cow patties
  2. New River may be the smallest, but, he's coming in on the ground floor of a new project that will be on all MCAS, unless they totally stop flying he'll have work.
  3. FREE !!! I guess you have not noticed how much you pay overall in taxes, it's anything but FREE
  4. In February . Includes a gold plated snow shovel. Prize ideas Zumo full set of heated gear A set of Diamond cuts and all the Bling slowrollwv makes 1 set of tires per year, for 4 years A new CVO Road Glide Full conversion kit to LED lighting
  5. We're praying for a speedy recovery for both of you. I won't tell you any jokes right now, hiccups hurt, laughing is pure misery with cracked ribs.
  6. Jeannie was riding a shadow 750 before we got her the hannigan. She loved that 750, but, not as much as the trike. I know it doesn't need to be said but , let her progress at her own pace, a rush to ride is never a good way to learn safely. Karen has a good teacher. It's great to have the better half riding too.
  7. :rotfl: We had Bison that close while we were in Yellowstone but they left us alone.
  8. My son was stationed at Cherry Point when he was discharged 10 years ago, if this job comes thru, he will be working at MCAS New River as a civilian contractor. We've been down around New Bern before, when he was at Cherry Point, we liked the area. We'll be going there often, for a visit. Who knows, we may just move there too. We're getting tired of these northern winters anyway.
  9. Looks like my son will be moving to Jacksonville, NC. His wife is from New Bern, NC. He is awaiting the contract offer from his prospective employer but it looks pretty for sure. He'll be taking my grandson too but this is a fantastic opportunity for him. What can anyone tell me about this city ? Housing, crime, cost of living?
  10. The Affordable Care Act working as intended.
  11. They use the pre bid process to set the live auction starting price. Similar to an absolute auction, the dummies bid on the parcels then the guys with real money combine the parcels they want and buy for an average cost per acre, cutting out all who bid on single parcels. We lost a winning bid on a 600 acre parcel because of this tactic.
  12. You'll never regret trikeing it, after a little learning curve you'll have a blast on it.
  13. Prayers for both of you and some attitude at the docs, keep on them til they have some answers.
  14. I looked at aluminum diamond plate first, about fell off the chair when I saw the cost, then add welding to that That's why I went with the plywood.
  15. "One person has alleged that he had sex with her prize-winning French poodle in her backyard." A litter of French transvestites ! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  16. Does it stick well to wood ?
  17. New pressure treated plywood is very corrosive to aluminum, steel and fasteners. It doesn't take long to ruin an aluminum sled trailer, from pitting. You need a protective barrier (Vinyl tape) or something to isolate the P/T wood from the aluminum, also the screws need to be rated for P/T wood or they will rot away in a few short years.
  18. The problem with most of those types of coatings is that they are very brittle, on a plywood deck it will crack when it flexes.
  19. I bought an Aluminum snowmobile trailer (open deck) that I'm replacing the deck on, using 5/8" marine plywood. This trailer will be used to haul motorcycles, no snowmobiles. I am sealing the bottom side with a 2 part epoxy but it will be to slippery to use on the top and am wondering what is a good topside sealer to use ? Prefer something that doesn't cost an arm and leg like the epoxy does.
  20. I have Comcast as my ISP. We subscribe to the HD Triple play and we're happy with the services, their equipment leaves a bit to be desired (old and used). Their WIFI modem SUCKS, no range at all. We had a terrible ground loop problem when the coax was hooked to the home theater receiver, it took 6 visits by their techs before they solved the problem, their fault, on the bright side, there was no charge to us for all the tech visits. We had Direct TV at our hunting cabin nothing but problems with reception and customer service. Gave them the boot and now watch snowy local broadcast over the air, nearest broadcast tower is over 20 miles away. If there's a game we want to see, we go to the bar.
  21. Can't wait to see it. If there had been a Valk Interstate anywhere near me I would have never bought the RSV.
  22. This question is somewhat off topic but, does anyone have the part number for the Shindengen Mosfet R/R for a 2nd gen RSV ?
