  1. Brad, there is a spot on the page you write the ad on that gives you options on how you want to receive replies , im on my cell now, when I get home i'll get a screenshot for you. Even an anonamous email brings all those scam offers you must weed thru, why bother? If they're willing to call , they're usually a real buyer or tire kicker. All they know of me at first is a google number that I can dump if needed and have a new one in 5 minutes.
  2. To reduce the number of scammer that reply to your ad, do as I do. When I post an ad on CL I disable email replies and put in the ad MUST CALL, I then give a google phone number that is linked to my cell phone, scammers won't call, they just move on to the next ad they can email. When I put the phone number in the ad I mix numbers, letters and written numbers to foil automated phone number mining software. This method has worked well for me, I very seldom will get a call that is not a genuine buyer inquiry. If they want additional pictures I ad them to my CL post, never send them direct from my email.
  3. Hi John, long time no see! How's the trike doing? I took the precautions of cloning the drives on both my PC's and storing them in a secure location after learning of cryptolocker, all new, important files are now backed up to another pc so recovery is possible if we get hit. An external drive gets hooked up once a week to backup new data. The up side is both pc's now have new WD Black 2TB drives that have lot's of space and run much better now. We feel better knowing our pictures and data is protected.
  4. I blew the leaves out of my gutters this morning and didn't fall off the roof !
  5. Who in their right mind would pay for all this abuse ? I think I answered my own question, none here are in their right mind
  6. Hey Puc, That Ural in South Lyon, Mi is only about 20 minutes from me if you're interested I could put an eyeball on it for ya.
  7. I got both of them out for a ride today, put fuel treatment in both and rode them each about 20 miles to get the treated fuel into the carbs. I then put them back on the lift and covered them for the long winter ahead PMS already setting in
  8. Like others have said, It's not what you said, it's that you were there for him that speaks volumes of your relationship. Sorry for your loss my friend.
  9. With only 700 miles on it, it could have been ridden the first year and then never ridden again. Entirely possible that the rings are seized to the cylinder walls. That pitting could just be oxidation from lack of attention if it sat all those years.
  10. Look closer, the kick stands down. He hit it as he was getting off.
  11. Those are my favorite rides, taking a newbie on their first ride. At 80 years old, it's really special.
  12. Impressive riding.
  13. I had Samson pipes, way too loud for me, I now have 2011 HD ultra classic pipes, I am happy with them they have a bit more volume and a deeper note than stock RSV pipes.
  14. We'd love to be there, but a 14 hour drive seems a bit excessive to me for just 1 meal. They do serve a good meal though.
  15. Prayers for Jack, your sister, you & Becky. We'll be here when you need us Bob.
  16. We'll take good care of you and Beckey. I have just what you need to lift your spirits
  17. Wishing the young man a speedy recovery.
  18. I have found that sometimes in the cold weather the LCD is either sluggish or doesn't work at all. Warm it up, I'll bet it works.
  19. On the rear it faces back to record the other riders in the group. There are several different classes of sd cards, they range from Low>High, unmarked up to class 10, always buy cards that are for video recording, the slower cards may cause errors with the camera. I typically record at 1080 because I like to pull stills off the video like snap shots.
  20. I cleaned it today, we'll see if that does it. Pain in the butt to do on this furnace, I had to pull the burner rack and gas valve to get to it.
  21. Can't say much about the camera, but buy the biggest and fastest SD card you can, they fill up fairly quick. I carry 4 32GB extreme class 10 cards when we go on a trip, I fill the card then download it to the laptop when we get to the hotel. Depending on cam settings and how much you video, you can fill 1 or 2 cards a day. I have a mount on the front and back of the bike.
