  1. Can't be Iceland, there's no ice to be seen. Must have missed a turn
  2. Must have put that strap on too tight !
  3. Just what we need... Another under the influence of GRASS
  4. We are seriously considering the EFM setup, looks like it could be just what I'm looking for. Pricey..yes, but what would you spend to keep the wife happy and the bike running in top form? Some things to be aware of if using an autoclutch setup If you park the bike while it’s in gear, it can roll on an incline since the auto clutch is not engaged. I need to come up with an easy way to set the front brake, which shouldn’t be hard to do. Several people have suggested wrapping an inner tube around the front brake to hold it. Because the bike will roll when parked in gear, it’s easy to believe it’s in neutral when it isn’t. It’s important to always make sure it’s in neutral before starting so it can’t take off on its own, especially if you’re using a choke. Inability to push start the bike if you find yourself with a dead battery.
  5. Also check to see if you have a blown fuse on one leg of your 220v supply.
  6. Most likely you'll find you have a bad heating element. How old is the tub? was the heater ever replaced before ? They are easy to replace if you have gate valves to isolate the heater tube, otherwise you'll need to drain the tub. Is the topside display showing any error codes? Could be the temp sensor is bad.
  7. Does anyone know the bore and stroke of the RSV clutch master?
  8. I think you meant to say master cylinder, not "caliper, I too have thought about that approach, it would require a book listing the bore sizes of various units. I agree that the difference is small but it is a harder pull and I don't want to risk making her wrist worse (ganglian cyst)sp? . If I can't find a solution I guess I'll just have to start carrying a spare set of steels & frictions while on our trips.
  9. Those are RSTD seats, don't think they'll fit an RSV
  10. I want to upgrade the clutch on my wife's trike to prevent slippage, but I DO NOT want to increase the amount of pressure it takes to pull the clutch lever. Has anyone found a way to accomplish this ? She has wrist problems and a harder clutch would make it un-ridable for her.
  11. I have been considering buying one for the trike, but after reading of your problems and treatment by Dyna I may just forget about that Dyna 3000.
  12. nothing better than sitting in a 104* tub during a blizzard sipping on your favorite beverage
  13. Our tub is a Coast spa. They are no longer in business. 2- 2 speed motors and pumps, I like this feature as you can set it low or high. Foot massagers are a nice feature, ours has a lounger and most people only lay there for a short time before wanting another seat, I'd say skip the lounger. More jets = better, you can always turn off the ones you don't want. Each seat position should have jets placed to work on a different area of your body. Lighting is nice to have. Most people I know that have a stereo say they don't last long. Get one that is well insulated as it reduces operating costs. Ours is foam filled in the cabinet and I then added mylar faced foam insulation boards behind the equipment access panel too. Our Electric cost is between $30-40 a month during the winter. A good insulated cover with a cover lift makes it easier to get into. Go with a 220V unit they cost less to run. If you have young kids be sure the cover can be locked. Don't use chlorine for your sanitizer, it's harder to keep in balance. We use bromine but have been considering a switch to salt. Ours is set at deck level next to the deck so all we have to do is step into it. If you drop it into a hole in a deck it makes it harder and more expensive when the time comes to do any service on it. I've had ours for 7 years and have put 1 pump and 1 heater in it. We're on well water which also makes it harder to get balanced water chemistry right. I run my fill water thru a carbon and paper filter which helps. I do a water change every 3-4 months depending on usage.
  14. #1 Victory CCT #2 HD Ultra Most of the rest are too tall in the saddle for me.
  15. Good luck with the interview.
  16. It's a flatulence dissipation subduction motor impeller rotor. Apparently either the highly acidic environment in which it resided caused the dissolution of the housing and mounting brackets or excessively high pressure caused it to separate from it's owner. Excessive flatulence can cause enormous discomfort and distress, mainly when there are other people around.
  17. I'll be camping again this year.
  18. No I think you meant KOOL-AID
  19. I LOVE winter.... WINTER ALE, Johnny WINTER.... WINTER as a season
  20. Still plenty room at the campground & the pond monster must be on a BiPap cuz I didn't hear it snore at all last year. Coulda been the pie acting as a silencer though
  21. Paul, Try doing some job searches in the Detroit, Michigan area, I have seen several job offers looking for workers in your field. It's not the sunny south but there is work up here. Most everything is contract work though, none of the companies want to direct hire because of the healthcare debacle that plagues the nation at this time. GM, Ford & Chrysler have been hiring. Take a look at the career postings on their corporate web sites. Submit your resume to Michigan Works Talent Bank. Google Michigan works, there are talent banks for every area of the state. Good luck with your job search.
  22. That was quick ! Glad to hear they're going to take care of you. I've had 4 set of Avons and have never encountered the cracking issue.
