  1. Dirty injectors ?
  2. Well I think the seafoam soak did the job. Came home today and drained the carbs, flushed with gas then filled them up. Ran it thru 3 heat cycles with no problem. Put in new plugs and am now washing the K-&-N's , I'll put it all back together tomorrow and hope for the best. Next up is waking the trike from it's almost 6 month nap.
  3. I have the Flanders bars on the wifes trike, I really like them but don't want to spend that much again if I don't need to.
  4. I've got my fingers crossed that it does. With a little luck they'll fill all the jury slots early and let me out of here before lunch and I'll be able to work on it today.
  5. Jury duty in the morning, wish me luck Good Night.
  6. I have stored mine the same way for years, never a problem till today
  7. Thought I was going to get my first ride in today, didn't happen I uncovered the bike, checked tire pressure then went to fire her up, it started right away, I turned my back for a second and when I looked back there was a BIG puddle of gas on the floor fuel flowing out of the left front lower cowling look a little closer and it's coming from the overflow hose. Nearest I can figure is a stuck float, left rear carb I think. I pulled the seat, tank, air boxes and followed the tube to the left bank of carbs. I tapped on both carbs and thought I had it but nope, turned the key on and another puddle. So, I put the overflow tube into a coke bottle to catch the gas and ran the carbs dry, then put a funnel on the gas line and filled it with seafoam, turned key on and filled carbs with seafoam, the bike wouldn't start on seafoam so I misted the carbs with gas to get the seafoam into passages. Anything I'm missing? Gonna let it sit till tomorrow. It was stored all winter with seafoam in the gas and every other week I turned the key on to keep the carbs full. I really dont want to have to pull the carb rack if I can help it.
  8. I'm going to be swapping out my RSV bars for a set of RSTD bars and need the longer cables and lines. Does anyone have a set laying around from a switch to SS lines that they want to part with ?
  9. If you have enough of the shaft showing you can use a hose clamp to attach a slide hammer on the shaft and give it a good wack or two, it's probably wedged between the tube and ujoint. I use a coat hanger with a small hook bent into the end, go thru the hole Bongobob talked about to hook the ujoint and align it with the shaft when re-assembling.
  10. Jeff, are your old wheels pitted? If not would you want to sell them? I'd be sending them out to be powder coated. The reason I wanted new ones is because Jeannie's are pitted, the previous owner never took care of them.
  11. 42 pack $15.75 with free shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm/LITTELFUSE-14-0000-ATO-BLADE-SMART-GLOW-FUSE-KIT-42-Pack-5-10-15-20-25-30-Amp-/301063019968?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4618c11dc0&vxp=mtr
  12. When I said "pets" I mean't when I go outside, they are NOT welcome in the house !
  13. I figured the hub would be at the outside of the wheel, they'd have to be with the offset. I am disappointed that the wheel is not chromed all the way back though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk 2
  14. That is not a problem around here, we have 3 outdoor gun clubs close by so everyone is used to gun shots and pays them no mind. The little buggers I pop are those little bug-eyed pests that chew holes in my facia and soffits to gain access to the attic, the larger species are not a bother and a few are actually like pets to me and eat right from our hand.
  15. I have found that a 6" barreled .22 revolver loaded with shot shells works great on the FTTRB's , doesn't kill em right away, so they have time to go somewhere else & meet their maker. Also works good on hole digging chipmunks
  16. I read it on one of the news wire web sites, I'll see if I can find it. You can be sure that I was not happy about it when I saw it!
  17. You can't just put spacers on the shocks to raise the body, you'd also need longer sway bar links, aux tank fill hose. Also you would need to fab brackets to lower the rear differential to keep the CV angles correct. TOO MUCH WORK !!! Yoo'd be better off just changing gear sets and staying with stock tire sizes. You could make spacers that would only lift the fiberglass body, doing it this way does not change the suspension angles. Jeannie likes the wheels I linked to, not your selection
  18. I read an article today that say's he died from Aids, and that he will be buried in Arlington with full military honors , it went on to say that he was a Sgt. Maj. during the Korean conflict.
  19. These are what I'm eyeballing, I like the way the chrome goes almost all the way back to the inner bead lip. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-new-2crave-No2-16x7-40-4x1004x45-Chrome-rims-/261426365226
  20. Very COOL!! Thanks for sharing that
  21. I downloaded Cradar and have been trying it out and so far I can't get the sensitivity to set correctly, if i set it on Low it will not send an alert when dropped from 30" onto concrete, if I raise the setting to medium it goes off by just a mild shake of the phone. I've tried the custom settings with no improvement yet. I'll keep at it for another day or two before giving up.
  22. Before you go for a ride, you'd be well served to do a check at full suspension compression on each side.
  23. Isn't that called a basement ?
