  1. Here's a few of one that didn't get stuck often. Boy I miss that truck. It's the blue one. Mud, snow, sand,,, didn't matter,
  2. I'm sure you've heard the saying,,, "Trust but Verify" Especially true with LD buys. That's the beauty of this site, it can raise your comfort level when making a long distance purchase when there is a member close by the prospect. I'm in Detroit and the trike we bought for my wife was in Atlanta, Ga. A VR member down there did a pre inspection for us before I made the 12 hour drive with lots of cash in hand. Happy to hear it's not as bad as your first report. Heal up yourself and the bike then get out and have lots of miles & smiles.
  3. I don't care what you drive, unless it's lifted high enough so as not to bottom on the ice layer and aggressive enough snow tires you're gonna be stuck in those conditions.
  4. My first thought is, why didn't you have a closer member do a pre inspection BEFORE you made the drive . Now that you have it, I hope you can make it to your liking fairly cheap.
  5. I have 5 different windshields, both wide and narrow, vented/unvented, in tall, mid and short short. Cold weather=Tall wide non vented Cool weather= above or vented wide Warm&dry weather=mid or short narrow Hot=shortest I have. about 9"
  6. Is that a tent I see wadded up next to him? Must be on his way to MD
  7. Side effects may include sore cheek muscles (both types), also known to cause loss of direction and/or time. To be taken orally, anytime symptoms of PMS are felt.
  8. Micarl,,, It may also be a symptom of advancing years, after all, our buddy has been known to take detours thru cow pastures and miscellaneous parking lots on occasion.
  9. Big brother knows and see's all. No need to ask for info they already have. RCMP & OPP's are on the way, something about smuggling Americans across the border
  10. Yes Larry, we may get to see the grass soon! And a little heat will be a good thing too. Until the rains wash the roads we're still grounded though. The craters in the roads are another problem. We'll see about that M&E.
  11. Being it's a 1983 furnace I'll just replace it.
  12. Sorry to hear of your continued problems, wanna trade?
  13. Ya think AH the joys of home ownership
  14. Carl, Lucky you,,, I just found that I have a cracked heat exchanger on my furnace Good thing is I have a split system so half the house is still warm. I guess I can't really complain though, it's been there since 1983 and other than annual maintenance I've only had to replace the thermo-couple twice. That Carrier has served me well. R.I.P. I'll now move into the world of 90%+ furnaces.
  15. See there Carl, you just needed to be patient while your M&E post just needed to clear customs.
  16. Thanks for that Willie video, all the pictures shown sure did bring back memories of my childhood days of tv watchin'
  17. Just about everything they did takes me back to those days. Also Hendrix, the temptations and Ten Years After. Can't believe I actually lived through those days! Deep Purple - New York 1973 (Full Concert) - YouTube Then there was The Fugs,,, pretty much the first punk band. They played some raw, controversial and at times xrated stuff. I won't link it here but there is plenty examples on utube. A few years before I could drive legally.
  18. Welcome Dan, I too came from a 98 Ace Tourer to my RSV. That was one of the first things I noticed, other than the weight of the RSV. The heat down low can be mitigated by getting yourself a set of lower wind wings to push the heat away. And was already said, get some highway pegs to get your feet out into the windstream. By the way, ,, you won't make many friends here by rubbing in the fact that you can ride year around while we're frozen and up to our @#&* in
  19. Best part about the job is you'll be able to hop on your broom and get home easily !
  20. Michigan is an open carry state, by state constitution, no permit required for open carry.
  21. Ears,,,, what ears? [emoji12]
  22. I have the same type plates on the GS for the last 17 years and never a problem. Those officer's deserve to be sued.
  23. Yep, wasn't much around that could keep up. T-Cats are quick with a mean growl but won't stand up to these new 4 stroke hotrod sleds.
