  1. PM sent I'm at a campground for the next week and service is spotty so if if I don't get right back to you it not because I'm ignoring you. Thanks again, Jay
  2. Thanks, I'll turn one up somewhere.
  3. My CB was killed by my failed regulator that fed it 18 volts. I use my cb often on Patriot Guard escorts. If you have one laying around please let me know what you want for it. Thanks, Jay
  4. My preference is the 1st one. I LIKE being able to preview what the thread is about, it's quicker than having to open each thread as the header can sometimes not accurately reflect what it's about. 2nd is ok, 3rd button does nothing for me.
  5. Power plug, DIN cable and antenna is all that's in the box. I've come to the conclusion that my overcurrent event from the failed R/R fried the cb unit. Anyone have a cb unit to sell?
  6. I am using the forum on my cell phone now and this new forum software does scale better than V bulletin did. Tapatalk was just a convenient way to check all the forums I follow in one place. No problem for me to just keep coming here from my browser. Thanks for all you do Don.
  7. Also checked plugs under the pillion seat. At there any connections in the box other than the antenna plug?
  8. When I turn on the CB it shows the channel for a second or two then says "CBerr" then shuts off. I've split the fairing and checked/cleaned the plug connections, this did nothing to fix the error. This problem seem to be an after effect of my R/R failing a few months ago and putting 18v into the system. Any ideas on what my next step should be?
  9. In the past I've read the forums on tapatalk while on my mobile device and am not able to connect there since the forum update. Is VentureRider not accessible from tapatalk anymore?
  10. We have confidence and patience, Don, we know you'll have this new software working like a well oiled machine soon enough. In the mean time enjoy your vacation.
  11. Lol, Jeannie reacted as if I cut my arm off with a chainsaw! She was able to drive me to the ER after calling the neighbor to find out where it is . I think age is the limiting factor, not humididity Almost 1 month since I tried to cut it off... stitches out 2 weeks ago, the scab is starting to lift a bit. Still some numb spots and others that are sensitive, The cut is healing good,it's gonna be a while before it feels like it used to.
  12. Yep just a bone headed move while cutting some trim. Miter saw and steel rulers don't mix well. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  13. Lucky it it didn't hit any important parts ! I did this one Labor day evening, 9 stitches and good to go. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. Are there enough Psychotherapy drugs to make you behave I think you just keep on doing what you do. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. We left the house this morning to go for a ride, we stopped a the diner at the 4 way stop in Pumpkintown, SC. for some breakfast. While at the table a gentleman walks up asking who owned the Venture parked out front, I fessed up to owning it. He says "I used to own one, it was the most comfortable bike I ever owned. He then to my surprise asks who did your diamond cut fins, Mike? Yes I said, he then asks about Skid, I looked at him and asked how he knew all these names to which he replied I used to belong to a group called VentureRider! I said I still am. So he says hello from Blue Mountain Jim, to all . Eh! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

  17. Where in NC are You? I have one and am 45 minutes south of Hendersonville in SC. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  18. Grab a room in Waynesville, NC. from there head south on NC 215, run it down to the BRP, make a right onto the parkway and run it back into Waynesville. Many nice forest, river and mountain vistas to stop and see. Spend another day or week doing a waterfall tour. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. The weights do help to dampen hand numbing handlebar vibrations. You can also insert a handlebar snake, they are usually made with lead shot in a fabric sleeve to further dampen vibration. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. Ride like you are invisible ! I never assume cross traffìc sees me. Weaving in your lane with all lights lit does increase your visibility to others. Condolences to the riders families. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  21. If I bring a tent, is it possible that I could pitch it on someone's site Wednesday night at the KOA? I'd only be the 1 night as I am heading to Gatlinburg on Friday. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  22. How early do the rides usually depart? Wouldn't be much fun in showing up late ! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  23. Where and when are the morning meetings to decide on the days ride? I live about 45 minutes or so from Ashville and would like to come up and join a day ride or two. Which KOA? East or west. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  24. We love having you lead the pack, no one else would have the foresight to take us through a cow pasture and 4 U-turns in one ride. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. Either a Sig P238, P938 or a Ruger SR40C . All depends on how I'm dressed and where I'm going . Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
