Closed course sportbike track, just a good thing she has all the right gear She tops 145 mph all the time on the straights. She was accellerating out of a turn when the front tire slipped out on a sealer stripe. She just left here and is just a little sore.
115 MPH into a curve the front end washed out on the tar snakes. She slid and tumbled with the bike in hot pursuit! Luckily i5 stopped before it caught her. The Bike sustained some road rash and broken bits & pieces. She is ok, small bruise on her elbow, a little sore on the ribs and neck. She was most pissed about scratching her 1000$ helmet
Just booked at Ben's motel, looking forward to seeing everyone. 2 friends from Flordia and I from Detroit will be joining us this year. We are booked a Ben's and will depart on Saturday so Florida friends can catch their flight home on Sunday.
Find yourself an old 70's Gravely 4 wheel rider with a twin cylinder Onan engine, the older Gravely's are built to last forever. I have a 1973 Gravely 816 that's bulletproof, shaft driven pto and all kinds of attachments you can add.
5th wheel would allow you to tow doubles if you wish. Truck, trailer and bike/boat on trailer behind the camper. 5th wheel is a more stable towing setup.
Ya know,,, some of us do have a job! You schedule these get togethers during the week and you limit the number of varmits that can devour your grub. C'mon man ,,,, look at the calendar would ya !
One of the best riding trips I've taken Excellent road quality and the scenery can't be beat. I absolutely loved Glacier national park , Going to the sun road is an awesome experience everyone must do at least once. 270* decreasing radius switchback turns were a blast to ride and new eye popping scenery around every curve .
Lolo pass/ Hell's Canyon is a fun road to ride, 140 miles of sweeping curves that follow the clearwater river basin. I had an ear to ear grin the whole way
As soon as I get all the pictures and video sorted out I'll start a thread on our trip.
Stopped for lunch while riding Lolo Pass and got to talkin with some other riders, one guy on a canam says he had an RSV before, his user name was Dodgedad and sends a hello to everyone.
A quick update on my dark side experience.
I have spent the last week riding Beartooth Pass, Chief Joseph hwy, Glacier National Park and all I can say is this tire is awesome, it has handled everything I've thrown at it. I highly recommend it if you are considering going DS.
