  1. BeachBum, Thanks for the link, lots of info to be had there.
  2. My go to rifle for deer is an old Remington 742 30.06 great from 50 out to 200 as sighted now. Ammo is fairly cheap and plentiful, most anywhere that sells ammo will have a good selection. For those times when I want to reach out and touch them the 6.5 swede is called into action, it's a long and fast, flat shooter.
  3. Mine is a mauser that's been sporterized by kimber, composite stock and will drive nails at 800 yds . [emoji7]
  4. I'm looking at the Lock_N_Load progressive press It has pretty good reviews, the charge station is accurate to .2 gn, that's good enough for target & hunting. I'm not a competition. match shooter
  5. Doesn't look long enough for the RSV
  6. Mostly what I'll be inclined to reload would be .38spl, .380, 9mm, .40sw, 30.06, 6.5 swede(6.5x55) The only .357 I have is a double barrel derringer so I don't go thru much of that,
  7. Yes, it was a tragic accident, 4 children at home with no father. There is a go fund me acct. to help the family. Sorry to hear that this hit so close to home for you.
  8. Like the title says, I want to start reloading my own pistol and rifle ammo. Does anyone have a progressive press they are looking to part with?
  9. My first bike was a Suzuki RM400 I bought it when i was 14 . Rode the Sh*t outa that bike for 6 years until I sold it and bought a Maico 400 NOW THAT BIKE HAD POWER ! First street bike was a Kaw 750 triple.
  10. That would not bother me in the least, I'm used to that with 3 outdoor ranges within 4 miles of my house, 1 has a large bore rifle range too. [emoji12]
  11. I work for a school and a rally after school has started may or may not work for me, it would depend both on dates and if there were major facilities projects going on. the closer to the start of the school year the harder it would be to get away. I'd try my best to make it happen though.
  12. If you do get some 1 1/2" risers you should get longer cables, it can be done without them but longer is better. To do longer cables on the cheap just get a set from a Tour Deluxe , they're the perfect length and can be had cheap on the used market.
  13. Nuclear powered I hear,,, never needs gas again! Hence the 45K price tag.
  14. I was totally legal this time ! I must say, the guards were polite about tearing our stuff apart. The whole thing was because of an arrest that happened way back in 1979 I was never charged in the incident. Who knows what other skeletons they'll pull out of my closet Sounds to me like the guy you watched got what was coming to him. Who carries that much cash besides someone that's up to no good? I guess it's possible he was going to pick up his new 3rd Gen Venture
  15. My first paying job was as a paperboy delivering the morning paper by 6:30am. I started the route with 140 customers, 4 months later it was down to the mid 80's,,, guess sales wasn't my thing Next was a job at a typewriter repair shop sweeping floors at first, then working my way up to cleaning Typewriters and adding machines for a year and a half. then these new fangled machines called electronic calculators came along, the company sent me to school to learn to repair them, did that for 2 years before moving to sales again, this time selling Postalia postage equipment and check writers. I enjoyed that job because I got to visit businesses and talk with the pretty secretaries all day long. Then reality slapped me in the face I took a job working for Chrysler for the next 32 years. Hard work at first but great pay.
  16. No waivers needed, just got to wait on the mods to approve of you I'm sure when he gets home from work he'll run you thru the CTFW data base , you don't have any pedophile or terrorism charges pending do you?
  17. Tried posting a few short videos of the stroll dance here but couldn't get it to load, if you want to see them go to the Ventureriders Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/144033808988878/
  18. Here's some more.
  19. And back the pendulum swings. Thanks guys
  20. If you have aftermarket risers that are longer they could be missing unless someone modified them to use the dampers that are supposed to be there.

  22. Perfect timing with this post, my shock puked it's guts up while I was in Montana earlier this month. I've been on the fence over weather to buy Hagon or works shock. Your review has me leaning to the Hagon.
