  1. Great looking trike. The only weakness I see is the lack of a top trunk and the price.
  2. Glad to her you got home without fire! Still a few more week of riding to do before the big sleep!
  3. With the Aux. tank, you should be able to make the ride with 1 gas stop. 7.5 hours is very do-able on the trike. Be prepared to move the handlebars to suit your comfort. Longer days in the saddle are much easier on 3 wheels, especially in windy or wet weather.
  4. Jeannie and I did our part and we'll do it again tomorrow.
  5. Thanks everyone, it had never showed up before on any forums I go to, so I wasn't sure if something had changed on the forum that needed my attention. I am running Norton & chrome. Thanks
  6. Don, Took this screen shot , what's the plugin at the top? I've never seen that before @Freebird
  7. Liked and Done , nice videos
  8. Get a set of Carbon One's passenger arm rests, you're going to need them while Kim rides you around the country.
  9. First thing that stands out in the pics is the lowers, as was said already, something doesn't look right there, I'd ask seller for more detailed photos. The floorboards should have no effect on the location of the lowers. Low speed handling problems usually are due to loose neck bearings or shocks set to soft. The bolts that secure the drive shaft to the rear end sometimes loosen and go missing, causing a drive line vibration. Depending on build date of the trike, there may be some issues with rear brake rotors and pads being mis-matched causing accelerated brake wear. Go to the trike forum here and do a little reading. Lot's of good info in there. Consider,,, there is no aux fuel tank, you'll want to add them. Carbon One makes a nice aux tank Another nice thing to add is a set of Flanders G2 handle bars with either longer braided steel or stock RSTD cables. Up to $700 depending on what cable set you use.
  10. Craig, you saw ours at the motel in NY. It's an 08 and had 10,000 miles on it when we picked it up 3 years ago for 13.5 So all I got to say is sometimes "to good to be true" isn't,,,

The 08' RSV Hannigan trike we bought for almost 10K below market was a craigslist ad, it was 12 hours south of us and with the help of a few folks here, we were able to get an awesome trike at a great price. As with any purchase, it's BUYER BEWARE and DUE DILIGENCE Not all ad's that seem to be too good to be true , are,,,
  17. Looking forward to your impressions on the new lights. And don't forget the PICTURES !!!
  18. But of course it is,,, and because I love all you VR folks I'll be picking up everyone's motel tab at next years International rally, if I hit the lottery [emoji8]
  19. The only headshake I get is when Jeannie slaps the side of my helmet !!!
  20. To what benefit of yamaha's ? Sounds like interweb BS to me!
  21. Look at the shock mount ,jus ahead of the rear wheel if it's leaking you'll see oil on it and the linkage, of course if he's powerwashed it it may be clean & no oil in the shock. Best thing is to let the air out of the shock a and go for a ride, find some hard dip or bumps, if it bottoms out hard there's a good chance it's shot. Not a deal breaker if you can get the bike at a reduced price, $500 will buy an aftermarket shock of your choice.
  22. The one I am looking at is an 2007 with queen bed looks very clean in the pics I've seen. Less than 2k is what the asking price is.
  23. Need it for parts? Supposedly runs but needs a starter, tires and TLC. 65K on the clock. I think it could be bought for between 2 & 400. I can get it with a clear title, not salvage.
  24. Even a bicycle hand pump is better than a compressor, there's very little volume of air so high pressure air can blow the seals. I have a progressive pump.
  25. Looking at a Bunkhouse trailer (Queen bed) , What should I know about them ?
