  1. Paint is way overrated,,, if ya paint it then you have to wax and polish it , sounds like way too much work for such an old guy. Just shoot it with truck bed liner and be done with it
  2. Your audio wires under the gas tank are too close to the coil wires. Pull the tank and rearrange the wires to get as much separation between them as possible.
  3. I have the tool but don't think you'd get it today with the snow flying, otherwise I'd meet you at the Sombra ferry.
  4. I have been trying to upgrade my laptop Everything goes well till it gets to the update portion at the end of the install, then it hangs there endlessly,,, is there anything microsoft does that just works, without having to jump through burning rings of fire! WHAT A P.I.T.A. So far I've wasted 2 days on their half baked product. Going to try the " create media for this pc" from MS web site, If that doesn't work, then they can Kiss my A$$ ! I'll find another OS to move to. UPDATE: Finally got 10 installed, all it took was doing all the updates to win 7, all 137 of them. this laptop only gets used when we travel so it doesn't get regular updates. Then spent another 1 hour+ changing security settings. So far I like Win 10. Pretty familiar interface with a few exceptions.
  5. Don't say rain The ride home last year was one of the most miserable rides I've ever taken ! Cold, wet, wind, lightning, dark. Don't matter,,, I'll be there to do it all again
  6. I love my sporterized 6.5 swede. An absolute tack driver.
  7. I think if they do a good job for you hooking up the new one and don't cause any damage moving the old ones up/down stairs , a modest tip of 10-20$ would be a nice gesture on your part, but is certainly not mandatory. You never know, next time you have something delivered, it could be them again.
  8. She's got a room here if she happens to find herself in the Detroit area. A noble cause and quite an undertaking.
  9. We'll be in Maggie Valley area in early May, then Oberlin in June, WNY in Aug., WV in Sept. Can't do it all! We'll make the TT rally one of these years. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. I was totally out of sync that whole season when we didn't have Don's MD to kick off the year. I'll be there, thought I'd RSVP'd already, just fixed that. MD has been a CAN'T MISS event ever since I became involved with this group of crazy, food lusting riders. I'd hope to see lots of our new members there, we promise you'll have a good time weather or not you need to work on the scoot.
  11. Lets try again.
  12. "> ">"I Think My Dog's A Democrat"Sometimes in life you just need a good laugh. I think you'll enjoy this song, "I Think My Dog's a Democrat." Posted by Dan Patrick on Thursday, March 24, 2016
  13. One that I find useful at work is Bubble Level, Great when hanging pictures or setting leg levelers on tables. Google Earth, Waze, Craigslist, Armslist and fraction calculator get used a lot also.
  14. Guess I'll have to disagree with the others. With only 700 miles on the filter I'd pull it, drain the oil out of the filter and reinstall it. I see no reason to toss it with 700 miles of use. IMO
  15. Should we pick our own city? I've got a whole jar of Canadian penny's saved up for this!
  16. When was the last time you cleaned all the lint out of the interior of the cabinet and vent pipe?
  17. 1 bit of advise using the FSM. It assumes you have basic mechanical knowledge, so even the FSM will not have everything, but is much better than any aftermarket manual.
  18. OOPS! Easier to fix it than you. Sorry it happened anyway. So, I guess the lesson here is to cut your own grass or maybe the lesson is to move the fire hydrant
  19. @djh3 I've got one here with a bad power switch and audio out jack, if you find that it's a bad display, let me know, we may be able to work something out. The thing that bums me out is that the unit has lifetime map upgrades and so far no joy in getting Garmin to transfer it to it's replacement 765.
  20. Probably what you are experiencing is caused by truckers using a linear power amp on their CB's. A strong enough linear will push the signal thru your speakers even when your system is off. If that's the case then there's nothing wrong with your system and there's not much you can do about it. We used to have the same thing happen only it came over our TV at home, the cause was a neighbor a few streets over using his base station with the power cranked way up. He usually only did this after midnight so most neighbors never noticed.
  21. Nice pics! Looking pretty good, how's it working?
  22. I tried Maxthon a few years ago and found it to be buggy, fonts on top of fonts, graphics displayed in weird ways. Maybe the newer versions are better.
  23. @cowpuc , TankerHank on the Delphi boards did what you'er asking, it is a lot of wiring work to move the electronics. You also have the cruise control servo and horn on the left side to deal with also. The end result was nice, but it's a huge project. I'll stick with my air wings and hi-way pegs.
