  1. As easy as the rear brake is to lock up on an RSV, putting braided SS line on the rear will only make lockup worse. the rubber line gives a bit, SS lines don't. Putting them on the front will greatly enhance brake power and is a good upgrade.
  2. My first sign of fatigue is constant slow down, speed up,,slow down, speed up When I notice that happening I know it's either time for a break or to call it a day. Second sign is trouble keeping visual focus. These things don't normally start showing up till about 8 hours into a full day ride. Here are 3 to read. There's hundreds of articles if you do a search for rider fatigue. http://motorbikewriter.com/10-tips-beating-rider-fatigue/ https://www.coloradomotorcycleexpo.com/motorcycle-riding-tips-fighting-fatigue-long-trips/ http://www.motorcycle.com/features/motorcycles-hearing-loss.html
  3. No, with just the risers you can get away with just rerouting the cables. Many do. It would be better to replace them though. You can get a takeoff set from an rstd pretty cheap usually, they are 2" longer I think. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  4. A long time friend of ours went down today, cager pulled out across his path and he T-boned the car. Multiple fractures and surgery scheduled for tomorrow. Broken hip, femur, arm, shoulder and occipital bone He's gonna have a long road to recovery. Please keep Carl in your thoughts and prayers. PLEASE RIDE SAFE. Watch out for the other guy, who isn't watching.
  5. If you make it snow again you may as well leave that bike in the shed, cuz if you bring it out , anywhere I can see it, I'll put an indestructible lock on it and give the key to someone I don't know .

  7. I know I have more, just have to find them.
  8. I have the forks slid up 7/8" and run Sonic 1.2 springs in them with 15W fork oil, the front tire is a Michelin CommanderII 130/90-16 The rear of the bike is stock height with a BFG T/A radial 155/80-15 The bike handles fantastic with this setup both at low speed and highway riding. Much better than the stock setup.
  9. +1 on the Flanders bars, we have them on the wife's trike and she loves them. RSTD bars will work, but they are wider than RSV or Flanders bars and will put your hands out into the airflow that comes around the fairing, on hot days that's not bad, but on cold or rainy days not so much. On my bike I have the Barons risers and I found that to be just right for me. For cables when using alternate bars you can get longer braided $$$ or use stock RSTD cables $ For most applications 1 1/2" longer will be enough unless you do like Bongo and combine Flanders & risers.
  10. I have just the solution for your needs. DEPENDS, Cuz you need a little PAMPERING. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

  13. So to use your harness I'd hook the in + & - to the yellow and black then the out + & - from the modulator to ??? on your harness? I'll be ordering up one of your harnesses ASAP
  14. Nice Ammo cans hanging off each side, the mortar rounds should fit in there nicely Looks like a lotta fun there.
  15. I just got the modulator that flashes the brake light , now where to install and which wires? Sorry for the electrical dummy questions
  16. Actually, it wasn't that at all it was all over an arrest in 1980 in which all charges were dropped, apparently it still shows the event when they run my ID I'd need to hire a lawyer to have it expunged from my records. That's all. As it turned out that WAS the long way,,, time wise

  18. HOT SEX.... I get some, every time I go to the WNY Rally The only down side I've found so far is them F*#@!in Canadian border guards don't seem to like me
  19. Sliding the tubes up in the clamps is all I know about for lowering the front. If using the old springs only go 3/4" or you risk the tube covers hitting the fender mounts. I installed sonic springs with 15W fork oil last year, tubes slid up 7/8" and love the way it handles now. With the 15W oil it rides a bit stiffer but not harsh.
