  1. While you are in there you may as well replace the shift shaft seal too. It's not a bad job to do, when you get the slave at the right angle it will slip out and in easily. Check the little rubber boots on the ends of the shift rod, they were both split on my "01 RSV. Perfect time to replace them.
  2. You are correct Puc, I resealed , put in 1.2 Sonic springs with 15W fork oil. I don't recall spacer size at the moment. I did pay attention to pre-load and sag while setting it up. It does ride a little stiffer than stock but not harsh by any means. I find it to be an excellent change, I've never been so confident in the handling of the bike as I am now. Some of this confidence can be attributed to the B.F. Goodrich T/A Radial I now run on the rear and 130 Michelin Commander II up front. I did also grease the neck bearings and swing arm bearings too. Both sets still had factory grease and looked good, repack and go. Next time my money tree is overgrown I'll be upgrading the rear shock.

  6. 4" speakers suck for sound and loudness. 6.5" would sound way better and produce more volume, beneficial at Ick-spress way speeds.

  8. One word of caution on your radio selection , the Marine radio must be classified as "waterproof " not "resistant". There is a difference! Water resistant will not stand up to a heavy rain storm or a direct hit from a water hose. I've lost several Marine radios that have been on my boats over the years due to rain storms and direct hits from Rouge waves.   12. $500 must be the number this week! I just bought a 16 foot Pontoon boat for $500.   19. A few inches up or back depending on where you position the grips, maybe a total of 3" wider and a different grip angle. We're pleased with the improvement. It was like adding power steering on the trike.

Buckeye gave a Venturerider discount then, not sure if they still do.   24. With the high miles it's a good idea to pull the swingarm and check/grease the bearings anyhow. It's really not that difficult a job to do.
  25. Thats why my safe is rated at 2500* for 2 hours.
