  1. Not here boss. I have been on with Chrome, Chromium, IE, Maxthon using Win7, Win 10, Linux and have not seen those errors. The problem I am having is when I click on notifications tab up top, all the filled in info such as who and what thread are invisible to me unless I highlight it.
  2. I beg forgiveness from all who have been following this thread. I disconnected all the add on's I had going to the battery and my radio problem is no longer present! So one of the wires was back feeding thru the system and causing all this grief :bang head: Thank you to Bongobobny, Puc and Yamagirl for all your help, if it's any consolation I did learn a few things about hunting down electrical gremlins. I owe you all a :ice_thy-vi101212101and a:beer:
  3. Guess my next step when I get home is to remove all the extras from the battery and see if it makes a difference. Only the wires going to the + post are connected, none of the - are
  4. Let me ask this, I had removed the battery when I did the stator, what if I mixed up one of the add-on wires for misc. stuff and hooked one of my ground wires to the positive side by mistake? would doing that always cause a fuse to blow or is it possible I'm backfeeding power somewhere?
  5. Almost all the pins have some voltage rangigng from 4.2 to 10.7 vdc
  6. While the key is off, checking all pins of 18 pin connector in fairing the only hot pins are #7 12.2vdc R/G wire and pin#18 11.2vdc Br/w wire.
  7. Thanks YG, I am going to swap MCU's today . I am lucky enough to have 2 RSV's here. Probably won't be done with it till tomorrow because that darn Work keeps getting in the way. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  8. I answered your questions above.
  9. Bob, after a reset by unplugging the white connector, just turning the key on does NOT light up the backlight, it only lights up again if i hit the starter button (even a tap on it) and then will not go off till i either disconnect the battery or plug. Not only is it back lit but the whole stereo is powered and will work with the key off! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. Not sure how that would come into play here? Let's see what the electrical guru's say.
  11. So I should check this with the key off and connector plugged in while the backlite is lit.?
  12. Fuse block under left cover, lite goes out when I pull the back up 10A fuse. When you say radio master box are you talking about the remote on the bars?
  13. I have removed it from all the connections. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. Here is what i have found happening, when I unplug the white connector while the control is lit it shuts off , when i plug it bak in it stays off, if I touch the starter button with the key on the controller lights up again and then has power even when the key is off. I have to run out but will follow your instructions when I can get back at it. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. When I disconnect the large white connector under the tank the light on the controller goes out. I cleaned all the connectors under tank, no difference. The radio is powered and will work with the key off.
  16. I did clean a few of the large connectors under the gas tank, I'll start by cleaning the di-electric grease off those. I didn't clean or touch any connections inside the fairing. Only under the tank and down by the stator plug. Everything else on the bike works as it should. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  17. I'll do it in the morning then report back. Thanks Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  18. I have read otherwise, but I'll clean them out and see what happens. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. Please see my post in second gen tech, titled "Problem after stator install". My audio controller back light is lit with the key off! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. All good questions Dan, like you I'm not very good with electrical either. All I can figure is a ground backfeed but where? I haven't a clue. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  21. I do have one strange thing going on now , with my key off the audio controller is off but the backlit buttons on the controller are lit up. I find no other strange things going on with the bike. I did clean all the plug connections and grounds I could find and coated them with di-electric grease. On 1st run after the new stator I have 13.7 at the battery while running at idle and 14.3 with it reved up. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  22. @Flyinfool I just happen to have the perfect length screws in my metric collection. I used Red loctite when I installed them, stator is securely installed and there is no interference by the hex head bolts. , I do have one strange thing going on now though, with my key off the audio controller is off but the backlit buttons on the controller are lit up. I find no other strange things going on with the bike. On 1st run after the new stator I have 13.7 at the battery while running at idle and 14.3 with it reved up.
  23. Fuel with ethanol is not classified as gasoline. I have started using ethanol free gas in all my small engines and they all run better than when I used E-15 fuel. Many small engine manufacturers will void Warranty service if problems are caused by ethanol. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  24. 10.2 is equal to a grade 8 . Got it almost back together and I'll find out tomorrow if i have any clearance issues. All in all not too hard a job, just lots to remove to do it. Again, thanks for the stator, I'll do my best to treat it well. [emoji106] Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. I have some bolts with a 10.9 hardness rating, do you think that would be good or are they going to be too hard and brittle?
