  3. I've always had Carrier in my homes and have been very happy with their performance. Very few repairs over the years. I am going to replace it with another Carrier. DJ thank you for your offers and insight 👍 Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks buddy, i knew you'd have my back! [emoji12] [emoji6] Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks for the offer but with the heat exchanger and draft inducer shot and the unit being 13 years old, I'm just going to replace it. I have a hunting buddy in the HVAC business thats going to install a new unit. Either a carrier or bryant gas packaged 3 ton, 90k. Both are made by the same company, which would you recommend? I don't have model numbers yet but both are single stage. We will be selling this place in the next 5 years so im not gonna pony up for the high end equipment. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  6. Not sure what I did to piss off the mechanical gods but I can't take much more! Last year I replaced 1 of the 2 furnaces in my house $1600 (cracked heat exchanger), while that was being done I fired up my fireplace only to find that it had a rotted casing (heatolator type) $2000 to rebuild hearth. Next the bike needed a stator. Yesterday we went to start up the 2nd furnace for the first time this year, NO HEAT! found that the inducer fan wheel rusted and fell apart. This unit is a packaged gas heat/AC unit on a slab outside that is 13 years old, the inducer assy. is about $200, so before buying it I thought it a good idea to inspect the heat exchanger on it, YEP wouldn't ya know... 2 rust holes on 1 tube so I am now waiting to hear if the heat exchanger is still covered by warranty. the unit is a carrier 3 ton, 90K I really need to hit the lotto this week !
  7. Don's was a Hannigan RSV IRS Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  8. No different than a car as for maintenance of an IRS trike. A few grease fittings, maybe a bearing hub assembly or u-joint at some point. Given the superior ride characteristics of an IRS, it's well worth the possibility of a failed part after a thousands of (s)miles.
  9. Ya can't go wrong with an independent rear suspension system Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. We will make it happen, we got a little time to figure it out. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  11. I think those are called Beetle Bags, I've seen them before.
  12. Any bars that equal or exceed what the flanders bars do are going to need new cables. The cheapest option for 2" longer cables is going to be a cable set off a RSTD. I have sat on an RSV with mini apes and found them to be very comfortable.
  13. I was taught in science class that contrary to common beliefs light bulbs do not emit light, they absorb darkness.
  14. Got the bike out for a ride yesterday, I think all these new VOLTS have added about 50HP to my ride Everything is working good, but I have some popping from the left pipe now, must have ruined one or two exhaust gaskets, they'll wait till the to get fixed.
  15. Thanks Don don't know how you did it, don't care but I can now see my notifications

    PITA

A bit more expensive an option is to find a weld shop with a laser, they can burn them out, leaving good threads to chase with a bottoming tap.
  17. I think what was happening was since I had the neg hooked to the positive side of the battery without the other wire hooked up it was pushing voltage backwards thru the radio causing those weird symptoms. The mixed wires are to feed the power port in the fairing with more power than the original wiring that only carried 5 amps. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  18. Problem solved! Had some wiring crossed with the add on things installed on the bike. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. If its that bad you can remove the film Freebird mentioned by using some strong tape, press it on the outside of the shield and pull it off, the film coating should come with it. Then use a 2 step plastic polish then several coats of a hard wax on it. When you clean a clear windshield always wipe up & down , never in circles or across because it will diffuse the light and blind you. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. They are pretty cheap, buy 2 sets and you'll have spares when you need them. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  21. I have tried that several times! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  22. Most likely culprit is the power port wiring to the front fairing. I have a relay feeding battery voltage to that port.
  23. I heard you thinking about it Dan, that's where I got the idea
