Where is the best place to see Redwoods in N. California?
ragtop69gs replied to Midrsv's topic in Watering Hole
That was really an ugly color, but not as ugly as the line of traffic waiting to cross it! Took us over 2 hours to get through the toll booth at 7:30 pm- 23 replies

I have a chalkboard on the dash and write & erase as I go. It's the only way I can remember.

Assuming it gets approved, You, Your bike & a piece of military Artillery Need not be functional, but could be. I know it can be done because I passed a M1A1 while I was out today.

How's this one? It's a Wildlife statue honoring our Veterans. It's not easy getting yourself in a cell phone cam pic ! had to try 4 times to get what I did. If this is acceptable I'll set the next target.

A man was leaving a convenience store with his morning coffee when he noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery. A black hearse was followed by a second black hearse about 50 feet behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary man walking a dog on a leash. Behind him, a short distance back, were about 200 men walking single file. The man couldn't stand the curiosity. He respectfully approached the man walking the dog and said, "I am so sorry for your loss, and this may be a bad time to disturb you, but I've never seen a funeral like this. Whose funeral is it?" "My wife's." ''What happened to her?" The man replied, "My dog attacked and killed her." He inquired further, "But who is in the second hearse?" The man answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog turned on her." A very poignant and touching moment, of brotherhood and silence, passed between the two men. "Can I borrow the dog?" The man replied, "Get in line."

Just one question, Don't the lights distract you or blind you at night?

Tie down 2nd Gen on Trailer?
ragtop69gs replied to jryan's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I always use 4 straps on the front. I used to use 2 till I had one break and the bike fall over (not the rsv) but you can imagine the sinking feeling when you look in the mirror and see no bike ! Luckily it was laying on the trailer not the road. -

While you're at it you could leave the alcohol out so we can understand what we hear in all that quietness.

Great idea and nice job on the fabrication. Sure beats riding 1 handed while holding the camera.

I too have a 2nd gen, I mounted mine inside the fairing, I made a mounting plate attached to one of the cassette mounting screws.

I put an Avon Venom X on the rear of the RSV last summer, put about 8K miles on it so far. Still looks as new as the day it was mounted and no signs of cracking. Today was a general maintenance day on the scoot so the tire got a good inspection. Changed all the fluids and washed the K&N filters. No if I could only get my air horn compressor to work.

I think there's a thread on here somewhere about how to fix a broken disc tab, using akumpucky or was it spider silk. (proper tools required to extract spider silk) Good Luck on the repair. If all else fails, I'm sure Don can hook you up with a new one.

Does it have US maps installed too ? Not in the market myself, just curious.
