  1. I hit one last year, just outside of Red Lodge, Mt. just before sunset. She mashed my fender down onto the tire, twisted the running light and I lost a lens and visor off the T-signal. Only hit her at about 15-20 mph, hard on the brakes with trailer in tow and the Mrs. on the back. Spun the deer around and off she trotted into the woods with my visor planted in her side. Never did find it. We were a bit shaken, but ok. Happened so fast there wasn't much time to react.
  2. I think I may be able to attain the set target tomorrow, the kids get their cap & gowns tomorrow. Wait till tomorrow night if you want to reset it.
  3. I have several large bottles in the safe. How much do you think you'd need? I'm not sure how to ship it though.
  4. Contact National PGR and request to start a chapter.
  5. Annie,Do you have Aussie PGR patches ? please be sure to bring me one at Freebirds MD if you do.
  6. This one brought us comfort when we had to put our dog down. Dogs in Heaven Author Earl Hamner An old man and his dog were walking down this dirt road with fences on both sides, they came to a gate in the fence and looked in, it was nice - grassy, woody areas, just what a 'huntin' dog and man would like, but, it had a sign saying 'no trespassing' so they walked on. They came to a beautiful gate with a person in white robes standing there. "Welcome to Heaven" he said. The old man was happy and started in with his dog following him. The gatekeeper stopped him. "Dogs aren't allowed, I'm sorry but he can't come with you." "What kind of Heaven won't allow dogs? If He can't come in, then I will stay out with him. He's been my faithful companion all his life, I can't desert him now. " "Suit yourself, but I have to warn you, the Devil's on this road and he'll try to sweet talk you into his area, he'll promise you anything, but, the dog can't go there either. If you won't leave the dog, you'll spend Eternity on this road " So the old man and dog went on. They came to a rundown fence with a gap in it, no gate, just a hole. Another old man was inside. "Scuse me Sir, my dog and I are getting mighty tired, mind if we come in and sit in the shade for awhile?" "Of course, there's some cold water under that tree over there. Make yourselves comfortable " "You're sure my dog can come in? The man down the road said dogs weren't allowed anywhere." "Would you come in if you had to leave the dog?" " No sir, that's why I didn't go to Heaven, he said the dog couldn't come in. We'll be spending Eternity on this road, and a glass of cold water and some shade would be mighty fine right about now. But, I won't come in if my buddy here can't come too, and that's final. " The man smiled a big smile and said "Welcome to Heaven." "You mean this is Heaven? Dogs ARE allowed? How come that fellow down the road said they weren't?" "That was the Devil and he gets all the people who are willing to give up a life long companion for a comfortable place to stay. They soon find out their mistake, but, then it's too late. The dogs come here, the fickle people stay there. GOD wouldn't allow dogs to be banned from Heaven. After all, HE created them to be man's companions in life, why would he separate them in death?"

  9. G&V, you will find your participation with the PGR to be one of the most rewarding things you have done. Both bittersweet and heart warming at times. Don't forget your sunglasses! If you are not comfortable in a group ride ( or even if you are ) situation please be very careful, we did a 62 mile PGR KIA escort mission last Friday , it was a rainy day, we were escorting the hearse from SANGB to the funeral home on the interstate in the rain @ 50 MPH and had 1 rider lose it and go down taking out another rider. The ensuing scramble by the other riders and cages was scary ! No one else went down by shear luck. Both downed riders are OK with just bumps , bruises and road rash.
  10. After you catch the offending cat you can return it to it's rightful owner with this handy device.
  11. For us the Cody rally is just bad timing, we have been out there the last 2 years in a row and our vacation funds will take us somewhere new this year. Everyone there is going to have a great time. Beartooth, Yellowstone, Cooke City, Red Lodge, Jackson Hole, Chief Joseph Hwy, Wind river Canyon and so much more. Wind River Canyon is often overlooked , it's only a few miles long but is worth the time to see . It's not far from Cody. Follows the river with train tracks weaving in and out of the cliff sides. The canyon wall are like a trip into prehistoric times. We came home with a rock that we picked up on the side of the cliffs thats 500 Million years old! ( make's you feel young again) Riverton on the East end, When you get to the western end, you are in Thermopolis where there are volcanic natural hot springs you can soak in. One thing I can tell ya is be prepared for any type of weather, we saw everything from high 80's to snow, so be prepared!
  12. Since it will be outside you could still do it the way I do, just tip it up onto a few covered blocks to keep it off the ground and secure it to he shed. That's what I do with my second MC trailer. I had 1 and when I bought the RSV it came with a trailer too. Don't forget to take the wheels off and store them in the trailer to avoid UV damage over the winter.
  13. Go to this sight http://www.wolfgangsvault.com it's the best music site on the web. Tons of music to stream and you can download most of it, singles or albums at good prices.
  14. I have the same textile jacket. You'll find that in temps above low to mid 70's it gets a to warm even with the liner out and vents open. It's a great cold weather jacket, down to the upper 20's before you need to put the liner in. Good in the rain too.
  15. I put a small carpet on the garage floor and just stand the trailer up on the back bumper , the box just sits on the carpet. Hasn't hurt it yet. When you weld on the bumper, weld it in a position that would allow the trailer to stand on it's own. I'll try to get a pic of it, it's kinda buried in the garage right now. Pretty stable this way. I have no fear of it falling over.
  16. I'll second the crash bar supports. I bought a set from Larry AKA Carbon 1 and it's a major improvement.. They really are rock solid now.
  17. I have a Teknic mesh jacket, it's comfortable, elbow, shoulder & back armor it looks like it would take a good slide across the pavement ( that I never need to test it) I caught it on a closeout sale at Motorcyclegear.com for $49 Just watch the banners for their link and look at the closeouts and bargain basement sales.
  18. I work at a High School and the cap and gowns have already been handed out for most of the students. Their last day is in the 3rd week of May.

  22. Anywhere between the Civil war and Star Wars will do.
  23. Why couldn't you just swap out the ring & pinion, rather than milling the housing?
  24. Wasn't on base, just riding past a VFW hall. It may have been a Sherman tank.
  25. Not quite sure, but there has to be some somewhere between South Carolina and Michigan. You might want to try Big Toms , he's always got Ice Cream.
