I think as it cools after your ride, the fluid volume contracts some as it cools. You can then fill it till you trap the air pocket from the filler neck.

That's possible. Were going to try to get going early enough to make breakfast. I'll PM you my cell, let's talk.

Is that a houseboat that floated into your yard?
-
Yep, been there, done that. We stayed the night at Chattanooga Choo-Choo in one of the rail car rooms. There's also a pretty nice train museum in Florida. I've ridden on several steam trains in the past, no comparison to riding behind a diesel-electric.

I always have a cold drink ready, stop by anytime. Not far at all. Are you going to be down around Pinwall? I need some riser caps for my 2nd Gen RSV. I have the one piece cap and it won't work with the 1 1/2" risers. Pinwall has several sets on ebay. I was hoping someone was going to pass by there, that way I could install my Baron riser extensions while at Don's. Are you going to join us for the ride down to Don's Friday morning?

Anyone coming to MD that will be near Pinwall Cycle in Massillon, Ohio on their way to Don's ? They have a set of riser caps I need, it would save me a 140 mile round trip from don's if someone is going to be nearby Pinwall on their way.

I love steam locomotives, I go to see them run whenever one comes through our area. I was a member of a train club for several years, 1/8th scale, 3 miles of track on 15 acres. You could ride these. I have run steam loco's , diesel and electric. Click this link to see some pics at one of the railroads I've run. Does the target have to be a full size train ?

I tried putting the risers on today, Barons is right, they won't work with the one piece star riser cap, it hits the fairing where the cruise switch is. So now I'm on the hunt for a set of stock riser caps. If you have an extra set I'd be interested in buying them.

No train attached to that one !

When I have that problem I pull the pads, lightly sand the glaze off them and the rotors. Reassemble with anti-squeal on the pad backs. Works every time.

A caboose ! The only place you'll find one of those now days is in a museum.

Does it count? He's not on a Yamaha ! Just Kidding! Finally a new target.

Did they use any type of clear after polishing ? I polished the wheels on my other bike like that, but, they are a P.I.T.A. to keep looking that way without a clearcoat.

I have an E3 off my Honda sitting in the garage with less than 500 miles on it. I had it repaired with a plug patch, got home and told my wife about it, her response was.... replace the tire, we can't replace us! Couldn't argue with that. Better safe than sorry.

Seems our Michigan contingent is dwindling down. What's that make it now ? 8-9 for the trip down? Hope all goes OK for you Dray. See you next time.

That there is exactly WHY the MSF class teaches you to stay in 1st gear while stopped at a traffic light. You need to be ready to move if need be. Boomer, I'm glad you were paying attention. Give those Pygmies a big HUG

I don't think I want to hack up the fairing. I'll give it a try, if I have to, I'll get some stock riser caps.

:clap2: If she takes requests, I'd like to hear Red House ala Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn. Is she gonna play at Quaker Steak & Lube Friday night before Don's MD ?

Those are the one's I got. Will they work with the 1 piece riser cap? I'm not very happy with the finish on them though. Lot's of milling marks on them and what appears to be an anodized finish. I'll try to polish them out or get them chromed over the winter.

Great product, we use it for re-decking pontoon boats.
