  1. I'm trying to find the thread from a few weeks ago of that cop riding the timed course. Anyone got that link
  2. Now that there is some creative loading ! At least you didn't leave anything behind.
  3. My daughter (21) just finished her MSF class :clap2:and is now in the market for her first bike . She wants a used sportbike (250-500cc) to learn on and really likes the Kawasaki Ninja 250. We both took one for a ride and I have to say it's a fun little bike and very easy to ride. Does anyone know of anything for sale in the 15-1800 dollar range? I'd like to stay somewhere near Michigan if we must go outside Michigan. The one we looked at was low sided at low speed and has a cracked fender, scratched upper fairing and cracked windshield otherwise was a nice low miles bike, the guy was asking top dollar for a damaged bike though.
  4. Looks like interesting work What's the next target ?
  5. It's people like that, that make me carry a pocket rocket 100% of the time We had a yoyo do the same thing to us down in Ohio, then he pulled up a rifle and pointed it at us, ever since that day I carry my own big stick
  6. I have Phonak micro aids that work great for me. My loss is in the high frequency ranges along with tinnitus that gives me a constant ringing in my ears, similar to when you shoot a gun without hearing protection. They are digital and tuneable to your loss. My hearing loss is from working in a stamping plant for 32 years. I wore hearing protection religiously while at work and it still got me.
  7. Glad you're both ok. If it had to happen better that it was the Kia than the scoot or the Mustang.
  8. OK Joe, how long we gonna let this go on? I'm gettin antsy to go huntin again
  9. I made almost the same trip to work every day for 32 years and in the last ten have seen courtesy on that road disappear like the Dinosaurs. Saw it all the time 85mph 3 feet off the bumper in front of you!
  10. Well ya don't need something to be broken to come up and have a cold one, we could even tip it back on the boat for a nice cruise around the lake. You and Joyce are welcome anytime.
  11. Carbon one (Larry) also makes passenger arm rests that are very nice. PM him for more info. I know he had a set or two before he went to Cody.
  12. Just to update everyone, V7Goose was spot on with his assumption. I indexed the top wheel about an 1/8 of a turn and everything is working as it should. Thanks again Goose
  13. That makes perfect sense. When I opened it the top wheel fell out, I thought I had it correct. Oh-well apart it comes again. What about the spring? 1 turn? Thanks Goose.
  14. When I put the Barons risers on I had to reroute my throttle cables. while doing so I had to disassemble the part where all the cables come together on the left side behind the neck cover, 5 in all,( 2 in, 2 out and the cable coming up from the cruise servo). When I opened the housing that little clockspring popped out before I could see how tight it's wound . Put it back together with 1 turn on it and now my cruise control won't set. All the dash lights say it's working but it doesn't hold the throttle. Any advice from the RSV tech gods would be awesome. My 1550 mile ride last weekend would have been much more enjoyable with a working cruise control.
  15. Both together work good for me. Stevie Ray Vaughn on 22 and Samson pipes, works every time
  16. We've got our fingers crossed that Ponch will make a full recovery.
  17. My '01 47K miles does the same thing, usually at the top of 2nd & 3rd gear and goes away when I roll off the throttle. If it's annoying turn up the radio, works for me!
  18. Not to bad, the air conditioner on these 2nd Gen's work great.
  19. Happy Birthday BONGO
  20. hows this one ?
  21. I hate the feeling I get when my comfort zone is disrupted! I wandered around not knowing what I was gonna do to pass the time while VRO was down. I have a yahoo group I set up years ago incase the web site for Diamond T trucks went down, we could use it as a clearinghouse for time like this afternoon when VRO was MIA. Here is the link to the group http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Diamond-T-Trucks/ feel free to check there for other lost souls if the board ever goes down again.
  22. Just to make it fair we'll pull 2 of your plug wires.
  23. Sorry to that! You are up and walking and thats a good thing.
  24. Pics didnt attach to last post for some reason
  25. We spent the 1st night in Gould City, then rode the south route to Porcupine Mtns to see Lake in the Clouds then on to Copper Harbor where we spent the 2nd night. Next day took us through Marquette and back to Gould City where we stayed Sun. night. A friend owns the bar in town and let us stay in his hunting cabin in the woods. 1550 miles of pure riding fun last weekend. We did get into Wisconsin for about 15 miles.
