  1. How much did you get ?
  2. Your livingroom wall
  3. That grinder looks just like the one I used at work. Does it have the electro-magnetic table?
  4. With our authentic plates I had to photocopy the plate, send it to a special DMV office where they record & issue the the registration on the plate.
  5. You may try looking here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0324911/
  6. Michigan has Historic plates with restrictions like that, thats why I have "Authentic" plates on mine. An authentic plate is a plate of the same year as the car was manufactured. When I got mine for the 69' Buick GS it cost $35 and is good for as long as I own the car. They have since changed the law and now they have to be reregistered every 3 years, I'm grandfathered in under the old law. With the Authentic plate I don't have the driving restrictions of the Historic vehicle plate.
  7. Shh, don't tell her but she has a mp3 coming at the end of the month. There is a cd changer in her trunk already. I already use a 8GB Sansa Clip+ it's small works great and almost invisible if I roll it to the bottom of the handlebars. A short coil cord connects it to my aux port.
  8. Thanks for all the suggestions. They were asking if I could put rope lighting around the inside perimeter that would turn on when the doors were opened. There is no access or bolt holes anywhere on the safe. This thing weighs over 2000 pounds empty ! I think I'll try and convince them to use those battery operated lights first, if that don't fly then I'll look into the kits Mike linked to, then Monty's idea if all else fails. Ribbon wire would not work in this case, the door are a very close fit with a 1/16th" gap around the doors. Thanks, This place is great
  9. Don, This should be a sticky in the 1st Gen tech section Good post Earl.
  10. We have a rather large (72x48x24) fire safe at work that is used to store documents and they want me to put some lighting in it. I need to get 120v power into the safe but it cannot compromise the fire rating of the safe. Are there any kits available to accomplish this? Or a DIY way?
  11. I was referring to the Yamaha unit when I made my comments about Ipods. No I won't listen to 594 songs in one day, but, on an extended trip I could go through way more. Switching sd cards may not be a bad thing, I could have different mixes for the wife and myself.
  12. I have a few places to try this out, looks like a much better fix than the Plastex I have used . I'm not knocking Plastex , it is good stuff. I fixed a leak in my hot tub plumbing with it and it's lasted 4 years so far.
  13. This and the limited number of songs are the reason I'll stick with my MP3 player plugged into the aux port. I lock my gps up when stopped and away from the bike, so grabbing the mp3 is only another 2 seconds. Right now I have 2400 songs to choose from. Your Ipod may hold 1000's of songs but if you can only listen to 594 of them, doesn't that kinda defeat the reason you have it?
  14. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. I took the phone over to the cellular shop I always deal with and told him what I wanted to do, he took the phone, spent about 5 minutes pushing buttons and now it works on any wifi connection. I asked him what he did, but all he would say is "I changed a few things" . I went to a few different wifi spots and all is good now Rooting will be on my must do list if I ever buy an Android phone. For now I'm just happy it does what I want it to do.
  15. Mostly, I want to do this for checking email, weather reports and PGR mission updates. For all of this, it would be easier to carry this phone on the bike than my 17" laptop and I really don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new device when this free device is at hand. I have used other peoples phones for all this and more so I am aware of their shortcomings.
  16. Thanks for the link, but , I already have this question posted there with no replies yet. What is the reason for rooting you phones?
  17. Is that the same a gmail account? I think it is. Typing in another address didn't work either. I thought a sim card was used only to activate a phone on a carriers network.
  18. Both spots were public access, Burger King and another restaurant. Neither is password protected. When I try it comes up with a page saying the web page m.web2go.com might be temporarily down or moved to a new address, it won't let me do anything else. Are there other browsers that could be loaded onto the phone ?
  19. I was given a T-Mobile Motorola MB200 Cliq touchscreen, android phone. This thing has lots of apps on it, wifi, bluetooth, web. It does not have a sim card, nor do I want to activate the phone portion of it, but I would like to be able to use it for internet at spots with public wifi. Can this be done? I have tried and although it finds the wifi signal it will not let me connect and browse. What's this jailbreaking and will that let me do what I want to do?
  20. If it doesn't come with a fully functional Light Saber I don't want one. The light saber would come in handy for keeping wayward cages at bay.
  21. I would suggest that you mark, then score the cut line with a razor knife along a steel straight edge ( both in and outside). Then make your exterior cuts with a fine toothed Japanese hand saw, cutting 1/2 way through the panel then complete the cut from the inside of the garage. It's gonna take a slow, steady hand to make those cuts. When they set the top they can use silicone on the inside to hold the garage sides stable.
  22. Welcome to the site, from another 01' RSV owner. You even have the same colors. Judging by your second picture, you may have a bit of trouble reaching the ground... unless you have some TALL platform shoes :rotf:
  23. Looks good to me. Your call.
  24. Here it gets too cold to ride...There it gets too hot to ride. Here I can add layers to keep warm... There if I take off enough to be cool, I end up in
  25. Arizona did you move and not tell us about the going away party
