I have J & M headsets and the foam wind socks have fallen apart, anyone have a good cheap source for replacements? J&M wants $7 for 2 ! There's gotta be somewhere better.

You were blessed with 50 years of the love of a good woman, for that you are a lucky man. The pain of your loss will fade with time, your love and memories will last forever. Jeannie and I extend our sincere condolences. -
Ditto on that. I miss playing, bikes apart right now and snow moving in

Thanks for the info. Looks like I have another project. Any recommendations on SS brake lines? Rick, I will be in touch soon to do your upgrade. I have to get mama's trike ready then I'll be doing my rear brake mod.
-
Is this a plug and play upgrade? If not what needs doing ? What year R1 or R6 calipers will work ? Is this a front and rear conversion ? I'd love to solve the locking rear tire problem. What are the differences between the R1 & 6 , do I need the mounting bracket also? I know, lots of questions.... sorry.

If ya want a venture sell the RSTD and buy one.

TURPENTINE VS. HOLY WATER A little boy was sitting on the footpath with a bottle of turpentine. He was shaking it up and watching all the bubbles. A priest came along and asked the little boy what he had. The little boy said, 'This is the most powerful liquid in the world; it's called turpentine.' The priest said, 'No, the most powerful liquid in the world is Holy Water. If you rub it on a pregnant woman's belly, she'll pass a healthy baby.' The little boy replied, 'If you rub turpentine on a cat's butt, he'll pass a Harley Davidson

except he wants to lift the front. Now this is an Idea he could work with. Just be sure to secure the chock to the lift. If you can position it so you can secure it from each side to prevent a tip over, all the better. 800+ pounds falling on you might hurt a little
-
I was going to suggest that but there really isn't a good spot to lift from. The handlebars are not strong enough and the top tree is covered by the fairing.

Gently lay it over on the lawn with a blanket under it. You may want to remove the gas tank first.
