  1. Well... if any of you want to get rid of a backrest, I have a spot picked out on the wifes trike for it. Just let me know and we'll come to some sort of an agreement.
  2. Yeah, but she's probably about 70 years old now
  3. Putting a new 150/80-16 Venom on the front and I feel a tight spot on both wheel bearings. I am going to replace them. I have 2 questions. A search here did not help me much. (1) How do you get the bearings out ? With the inner spacer I see no way to use a standard bearing puller or a drift punch to knock em out, no lip to drive them out. (2) Sourcing the bearing and seal? Yamaha part or from a bearing supply ? Aftermarket part numbers?
  4. Tomorrow Depends on what is waiting for me on the Left coast
  5. It is now contaminated with heavy metals and considered hazardous waste ! Take it to a recycling center. OR If you have a neighbor you hate, pour it in his yard and call the EPA from a pay phone !
  6. Our condolences to you Tom, and your family. Jay & Jeannie
  7. You'd never hear me do any of those things.
  8. OUCH that's one expensive line! Can't ya shorten the bolt instead of beating up your bike?
  9. Take a look at THIS link.
  10. Don't worry Don... we got your back.
  11. How about an Automatic front fairing opener, it would save Cougar alot of time when adding more relay's to control the relays.
  12. You need to back off the top locking ring before trying to tighten the lower ring. You'll find it much easier to do with the right tool. When you put the tool on your torque wrench it must be at a 90* angle to the torque wrench handle to get a proper reading. The next time you take it apart it will go faster, don't ask how I know this !
  13. How's that wheel wobble now ?
  14. Don, Thats good news The brake swap is pretty straight forward, The only thing that is done differently is the new caliper bracket will go on the outside of the knuckle mounting surface. If you look back in my posts here you will find some pictures. I think it took 20 minutes per side to do the swap.
  15. Well.... at least these uncharted waters haven't sunk your ship. Have you actually figured out. which is wrong, the pads or calipers ? Having to grind the pads sure takes all the fun out of an otherwise easy job. You know, it's possible there are 2 different CRX models, maybe a standard and a Hi performance version or a mid year engineering change to the brakes.
  16. I see him ! Good shot. Your Call.
  17. I see how much you know.... That's a fluminastazitor for your warp drive.
  18. So where we at with the game ? Does the South team have any targets yet?
  19. Pictures man, we need pictures!
  20. Our grandson is 2 months old. Great to spoil them and then hand em off .
  21. But if you were to install that six pack, you could say I have something nobody else has on theirs.
  22. Yes I am. Have been since 2005.
  23. I feel your pain brother, we just wrote 2 checks totaling just shy of 4K . It will get mailed in the morning I'd rather pay now than give those !%$#~@ crooks a free loan. If we get the same bunch for another 4 years that number will most likely double !
  24. It's been almost 2 years since I had to make the same decision for my mom, under the same circumstances. Not an easy thing to do. We wish your family the best in these trying times. We took comfort in knowing that mom's pain and suffering was over. She was the strongest person I've ever known. 15 years battling cancer and never once a complaint. Mom now has peace and comfort and we have a lifetime of memories to cherish. Our sympathies are with you and your family. Jeannie & Jay
  25. I think they went by the bike VIN back then, not a unit serial number.
