A RIDE ? Did I hear someone say a ride ! I think I could be talked into that.
-
If your bike is running properly you'll have no problem in the mountains. I have rode 2 up pulling a trailer with our '01, 11000 ft on the main road and we took a few side roads at the top that took us about another 800-1000 ft up.

So, I get to work today and the boss say's the assistant principal called and said we have a spider in the 200's hallway. Oh yeah, I work facilities maintenance at a girls Catholic High School. The boss and my co-worker Joe go to investigate, they round the corner and there's several girls screaming and pointing , as they get nearer the girls say it's next to the pew! Joe see's the TARANTULA ! screams like a girl and runs the other way so my boss gets a box and a broom and scoops it up. I get to work at 4pm and the boss pulls the box with the spider out expecting me to back off, but I got him, I opened the box picked up the death bug thrusting it towards him as he fell over his chair trying to get away :rotfl: is what I did I had several tarantula's as pet's years ago, they don't bother me So how was your day at work?

Take the leftovers to the local homeless veterans shelter, they will gladly accept it.

In spite of the rain I hope you enjoyed your ride, it's never easy to leave in the rain. I'm glad it was uneventful. I missed MD this year but I still have the international to look forward to.

No I haven't heard about any arrangements. The fact that only one was killed was a miracle.

Found this today. A fund for the motorcyclists and families involved in the incident in which nine members of the Muskegon Motorcycle Gang were injured and one killed May 31 in Wisconsin has been set up nationwide at PNC Bank. Muskegon resident Ame Matuzeski, a lifelong friend of many of the 12 motorcyclists involved in the accident, created the fund to help with medical costs and other expenses. Donations can be made to the “MMG Motorcycle Tragedy Fund” at any PNC Bank location nationwide. Local PNC Bank locations include 715 Terrace St., 1453 E Laketon Ave., 3035 Heights Ravenna Road and 821 W Broadway Ave. in Muskegon. A dozen motorcycles, all members of the Muskegon Motorcycle Gang, were traveling northbound on U.S. 151 near the town of Taycheedah, Wis., just before 3 p.m. May 31 when a southbound car crossed the centerline and collided with 10 of the 12. There is currently not an online option for donations, though Matuzeski said there may be on in the future. She said the fund was established to have a central, national fund for collecting donations. News Video http://www.fox17online.com/news/fox17-reports-12-michigan-motorcyclists-involved-in-fatal-crash-20120531,0,4247941.story “We just want to have one spot where people could donate,” she said, adding she has heard from Wisconsin residents unaffiliated with the motorcyclists who wished to donate. For more information or to arrange a donation pickup contact Matuzeski at Ame.Matuzeski@Gmail.com.

I have not run across any either. You may want to look at the 3M stone guard, it's a clear plastic film that sticks on.

Randy, Sorry I couldn't make it to MD this year. I have not forgot about that dinner I promised you for helping me out with our trike purchase last fall. I have to be at a wedding on the other end of Ohio this weekend. BTW All the handling problems are history, the trike is rock solid now, the previous owner had no idea how to set it up to handle correctly.!

It;s rides like that, that really make you enjoy the nicer days.

I have not read everything that's been said so I'll only say to be very cautious with your front brake, most crashes in the rain result from over aggressive front braking, light and smooth, you don't want the front tire sliding out.

Is anybody else playing this game? If it's good, the next target is.... You, your bike & a Go Cart track

If you really try, I'll bet you could find room for a few more.

KIC, Sorry to hear of your friends passing. Please extend our condolences to his family. If there's room, please find a spot in your vest pocket for me, time and distance prevent me from honoring this warrior in person. R.I.P. Sgt Brian Walker

When we bought the 08 I went to the dealer with the VIN and he did the transfer while I was sitting there. The others are correct, 5 years from the in service date. There is no warranty card you get, but it will show when they service your bike.

My daughter started riding last year at the age of 21. I suggested the MSF course which she took and did very well with. I tried to point her towards a cruiser but she'd have none of that. She did however ask for my help and advise on which bike she should start on, after looking at at least 20 bikes she bought a Suzuki GS500F, it's light, easy to handle, not too fast for a beginner and sits more like a sport tourer than a crotch rocket. Were I to have argued about her choice of bikes she'd have gone and got whatever and gone off riding on her own. For the first month she agreed to only ride with me along. I taught her lane placement and all the other things she'd need to survive on these crazy roads. I must say, she has become a pretty darn good rider and does ride with safety in mind. she's been with two boyfriends who are new riders and both have been down or dropped their bikes, Sarah has done neither. All our years of snowmobiling had prepared her for the move to two wheels. She's rode sleds since she was big enough to squeeze the throttle of the Kitty Kat snowmobile I bought her when she was 5 years old. She took her first multi-day ride this past weekend and had a ball.

You got off easy. I almost had to buy my wife a new dishwasher after washing the engine cases and cylinders from my lawn tractor while rebuilding the engine. I won't be doing that again
